Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Guayabos

The hostess was wonderfull. She looked after us, offered us plants from her vegetable garden. We even got treated to the visit of a sloth on her property.

Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs. Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price. Quiet and isolated surroundings. Welcoming host who advised on on best attractions , logistics decisions and everything!

I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

It was great the man was amazing and very helpful. The woman also was very helpfull. Loved the owners.

Very sympathetic, really clean, nice courtyard in the middle of nature, nice hostess, fresh flowers in the room, better than in the pictures

AMAZING, beautiful place! the owners are very very nice and helpful!! the cabines are super cute, well arranged and off course not to mention the garden (take the time to wonder)

We enjoyed a two-night stay here, my wife, son and I. We love the rustic aesthetic of these kinds of wood cabins. This one seemed to have been built fairly recently, as all of the interior finishings were new. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We slept well. In the mornings the howler monkeys came passing through the mango trees around the property. The setting feels remote but it's only 5 minutes drive into town where there is everything you need. Grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, bank, gas station, etc.. 15 minutes drive to Llanos de Cortes waterfalls for a swim or 25 minutes drive in the opposite direction to Miravalles Volcano. Wi-Fi worked well, host was helpful. All good!

On a family farm this was a lovely cabin. Spacious room with a good sized comfortable bed and nice bathroom. They have a lovely decking area at the front to watch the birds. There is no noise at night. The family made us very welcome. The cabin is on the road to the national park and very close to La Leona waterfall, a very popular tourist attraction. It is ideal for visits to both, but especially the National park, Rincon de La Vieja .

This beautiful accommodation is very spacious, well equipped for cooking and close to the main road while also right next to nature. Our hostess, Maria, took great care of us and even offered a cheap ride to the national park, which is worth a visit. While we only understand a few bits of Spanish, communication with her was easy and joyful!
