What a great choice this was. Being on an island it is far from the noise and smells of Aswan and the pace of life is so much slower. It's only a short ferry ride from Aswan itself but you are transported back to a better place to be, especially if you want to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. All the staff at the guest house were great and went out of their way to help. They organised my ferry trips and car to Luxor. Breakfast is made fresh everyday and the homemade jam and bread were the highlight each morning. After which I had a very good hot shower before beginning my day. I hope to return to Egypt later in the year and I'll be back through Aswan and I'll definitely come back to the Mango Guest House.

The hotel itself is very charming in an interesting location, heart of Nubian village, river front. The room was comfy and very clean, exactly like in the photos. We felt very relaxed and welcomed. The room was silent good sound isolation, we’ve stayed at the last room of the hotel corridor. The restaurant was excellent, big portions, great fresh local products, exquisite cuisine. It was the best kebab we had in Egypt. It has also beautiful views to the River. First, we came from Cairo with some stomach illness and the manager of the hotel Samir and all hotel staff did everything to make us felt better, he even went to a drugstore and bought us medicine and gave us as a gift. Thank you very Samir and Hamo, restaurant manager, your sympathy and attention made all the difference. Hamo also offered us local tea for all discomfort every day and it has helped a lot. Samir booked some transfers for us, they were all good and responsible drivers. Last, we had to leave the hotel early morning for a trip and they prepared us a breakfast box, with good variety and quality products, even boiled eggs. I don’t understand why other guests complain about it. Bottom line, I loved it and totally recommend.

My friend and I work remotely and the Wi-Fi connection was great, thank you for this! The owner was absolutely AMAZING! She had availability and allowed us to check in earlier and check out later. Even if she had a free room, we are still very grateful for this! She prepared a tasty breakfast every day and always showed up in the morning with a smile to bring it. She offered tips and advice for traveling and was always very kind. The place was very clean and the view was amazing! Thank you for your kindness, we will definitely be back!

This place the BEST PLACE TO STAY in all egypt..Very very peacefull place near the Nile. The hotel, rooms, restaurant very clean and very comfy. The staff very friendly and helpful. Fantastic Nubian style house hotel with amazing views. We Aussies -found the tranquillity of this location welcome after busy tourist filled daily adventures in Aswan surrounds, especially the rooftop at sunset. Sied, the Wanas family and their employees are lovely, humble and hospitable. Breakfast is generous. We fully recommend having dinner onsite. Mama Wanas's cooking was the most authentic food we experienced in our 3 weeks in Egypt, (especially Molokia). A shout out also to their drivers including Abdul for all the fun trips and your patience. Tania and Louis.
