Great location for us doing a long journey down to Cornwall. Room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was fab. Dogs were incredibly well catered for - plus there's a local park and country paths 2 minutes walk from The Hatch Inn. Food was excellent served in a very pleasant dining room as was breakfast.

It was so relaxing , the views were beautiful and your left to just enjoy the break. We had howling wind, and that was lovely when your in the hot tub . There is complementary tea and coffee and sugar, although we used these , I made sure to refill them for the next guests .

From the fresh cut flowers in the bedrooms to the coffee and walnut cake (it was delicious) to the lovely garden area and the well stocked kitchen utensils which are often overlooked it is hard to say how much we loved our stay. Phil and Fran were great hosts. They got in touch on the day of our arrival to let us know when Stable Cottage would be ready for us. When I mentioned it was me, my son and my Mum they suggested setting up a pull out bed to give flexible sleeping options which was a truly inspired idea. We loved the location finding plentiful details of things to do in the area. On our first day we walked from Stable Cottage along Triscombe combe to Will’s Neck and back (we choose the steep descent down worth it for the views but not for the faint hearted). On our second day we took a short drive to the West Somerset Railway. We travelled from Bishop’s Lydeard to Watchet (lunch at Star Inn, the small Watchet Museum, harbour and children’s play park) to Minehead then a return train back to Bishop’s Lydeard. Our third day we headed for East Quantockhead parked and walked down to the beach for some fossil hunting heading to Kilve Beach, ice cream at Chantry tea gardens and along a path along the edge of fields and in a wood back to the car. Dinner at The Windmill Inn, West Quantockhead topped off a great day. Stable Cottage is a lovely place to stay - we hope to be back

All of the facilities Inc. Leisure swim centre, and the conference l was attending. The location being so near the M5 for practical travel but not so good for the Town Centre unless you had a car. The accommodation was clean, spacious, with good meals and the room service availability.

The hotel is simple but well planned and for it's price excellent value. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My single room was larger than most and was clean with all amenities. I was able to eat a good breakfast at Morrisons around the corner.
