Bed was super comfy, large bathroom with nice fresh towels provided. The room wasn’t huge but perfect for 2 people. It was a nice touch to have fresh milk and cold water in the fridge provided. Really big mirror for getting ready. Clothes steamer provided, which you don’t often see. We had lovely weather so we were fortunate to utilise the courtyard space, this is shared with the other room but plenty of space for you all to sit. We went in the pub and had a few drinks on Saturday night, it’s a nice local with friendly people and staff. We went to bed around 10pm, there was noise from the pub still but it wasn’t overly loud and we were expecting it considering we knew we were staying at a pub, though it does still feel private and out of the way. It’s great to have a back entrance so you don’t have to walk through the pub if you don’t want to. The location didn’t really matter for us but it was perfectly centrally located!

We loved the property inside and out, close to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the club house from the location. The decor was beautiful and it was immaculate inside and out. Very comfortable and everything we needed!

    The house was comfortable and well equiped; everything worked, and it was easy to be in touch with the landlady. Very nice to have a garden with tables and chairs and easy access. Lovely cake on arrival. Groceries in the kitchen, some of which were free to use, others we were expected to replace if we used. All very relaxed. Home from home. Safe for children and pets. Dog was welcome - and he thoroughly enjoyed it too! Easy to use the sofa throws for the dog.

    Wonderful room with a great view and a balcony. Accommodating friendly staff. Really good food. Properly dog friendly. Peter the barman was an absolute diamond and really looked after us. James the manager was very attentive and always there. Rachel in the kitchen was just amazing, her food is wonderful.

    Beautiful decor, classy finishes and styling. Good, decent bed and linen bed linen. Great shower with beautiful tiles. Really well appointed. Great location near the Coast road. Really lovely that we could take Hattie, our Cockapoo. Dog towels were a helpful addition. Fabulous!

    Location very near to the beach perfect for walking the dog. The caravan and whole area was very clean and tidy. It felt safe. Communication from the owners was good. Bed and bedding very good quality and comfort.

    Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Excellent location close to the beach. Very dog friendly, I stayed here with my daughter and our two well behaved spaniels. Mersea Island beaches are dog friendly all year and the Victory is a perfect location for beach walks.

    Lovely and clean with high-end furnishings. Beautiful bathroom. Extras were catered for that we didn’t expect! Prosecco in the fridge and dishwasher tablets! Very comfortable bed with linen bed linen. Dogs allowed.
