Everything about this hotel was fabulous. The attention to detail was amazing. Including even a clothes brush, Ample space in the vanity for all our toiletries. The decor and the breakfast. The staff were also superb.

The room was huge! It has enough room for us to keep the luggage open at all times. The location is amazing, walking distance to do many attractions. It's audio close to a couple of subway stations, so you can travel easily.

How can I even start… this stay was so great I can’t even find the words to express it! Morio and his wife are such amazing people…They will do everything they can to accommodate your needs to the fullest! They are always so thoughtful and they always ask you questions about your day to see if they can help you in any way possible to make your day even better. I am currently pregnant and they would always be careful with what they cook for breakfast so that it is nutritious, well cooked, and consistent, from soup to first course, to second course, to dessert and fruits… it was really amazing! Best breakfast I had in Japan! And everyday was something different! Now, the rooms… the rooms are amazing! If you want a true Japanese experience, you will definitely get it here. From the tatami floors, to the futon beds, to the kotatsu table and the beautiful view… everything was perfect. The location is also very good since you are close to the bus station and some amazing traditional restaurants/onsens. All in all, this experience was one I will never forget. And if I ever go back to Kyoto, I will definitely book again a room at their place! Thank you Morio and Yoshiko!

Great place in a convenient location. Beautiful inside and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners could not have been more helpful, they even gave us some veggies from the garden and gave us a lift back to the station at the end of our stay. Would definitely recommend!

    The location was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was pet friendly, with snacks for our dog and a concrete floor so you didn't have to worry about any "accidents."

    A short 10 minutes walking distance from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, but the road surface is not very smooth for pushing big luggage. We didn’t aware that this is a pet-friendly hotel when we make reservation, met cute doggies when we check in. Overall the room is quite spacious, well maintained and clean.

    Comfortable, clean rooms with PJs (gowns) that even fit my tall frame. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location really close to the macaques and Arashiyama’s main road. Not exactly on the river, but a very short block away. Great to have coffee available around the clock, as well as a fridge and microwave in the room. I miss my dogs; it was nice to see some others in the lobby! (And this was the cleanest dog-friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed in.)
