The location is perfect, in the centre of Arugam Bay, with many restaurants, spas and beach enterings nearby. The staff was the best - the owner is truly an amazing and helpful person. It's also great that you can rent a board, buy a lesson with a surfing instructor or organise safari trips with the staff in the hotel and the service is always on point. In the room there is everything you may need, there is also a shared kitchen, a clothes dryer and a shower outside which is convenient after surfing or if you want to cool your drinks in the fridge. The room is comfy and very clean (they also do the cleaning every 2 days), and the AC works well, the bed is also big. Would totally recommend :)

A pleasure! My boyfriend and I stayed at Tropicana Hotel for 6 nights, and this is the best decision we have made in our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. I've never felt so welcome as we did at this hotel, it felt like Jazz and his family opened their home for us. The accommodation is top quality (10/10), however the best part was the warm and good people at the hotel. We even got invited to a home made Sri Lankan dinner, very wholesome and soo good curry! The accommodation is close to city center but the rooms are quiet and withdrawn. Its located right next to the beach and also a super market, which is run by the family. Jazz also organized surf lessons, a safari tour, and affordable transport to the next part of our journey. Absolutely worth a visit :) Thank you Jazz and family!

Whisky Point Resort was absolutely amazing! It was a five star experience from the moment we arrived. The Resort is breathtaking and the privat beach and cabanas are so beautiful and clean. The staff was absolutely exceptional. They were so friendly helpful and professional. We extended the stay because we loved it so much! The Owners are very thoughtful and organise trips for exaple lagoon safari which was great! We are definitely planing on coming again!

They welcomed us with cold papaya juice 👌 everything is very clean. Owner is good man and we had really tasty breakfast.

Our bungalow was very nice, comfortable with a great bathroom, and nice balcony and patio areas. The restaurant was amazing, really great food every meal we had, very healthy too. The pool was lovely, and all facilities were great. there were lots of toys and games which our children loved. WiFi was strong. The owners, and their young son were so welcoming, helpful and friendly, and so were all the staff. they all made our stay so nice. it was in a quiet location which was perfect, but an easy walk or drive into town along the beach or by road. we all miss stay golden, and hope we will be able to come again. Thank you!

This property was located close to town and all the restaurants as well as the most wonderful little swim beach! Kevin was an incredible host and the rooms were large and clean! As we traveled out of season breakfast wasn’t provided, but we were able to use the kitchen to make ourselves meals. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect for a family of four. Easy and short walk to the beach and the main street with all the restaurants. Lovely host! We were in luck that it was available, because people book longer stays once they seen the place. It's a great variety to have the vibrant arugam bay and the sereen stay with this place. We highly recommend! And we stay in touch with Haleem, because we're coming back.

Location: The location is ideal.It's situated just a few hundred meters away from the main road (Potuvil - Panama) and the beach, giving you the best of both worlds. The Room & Amenities: The room was fantastic—very spacious,spotlessly clean, and designed with comfort in mind. It was equipped with all the required amenities, and everything was in great working order. It truly felt like a home away from home. Overall Experience: I can't fault this place.For the comfort, space, and serene atmosphere, it offers incredible value. I would gladly give it a perfect 10 out of 10 for the room and overall experience. It’s a gem that provides a quiet, convenient, and comfortable base for your Arugam Bay adventures. We spent a great week at Apple's place. He's is very kind and helpful, full of good advice. The breakfast is delicious. The place is convenient, super close to the beach and all the restaurants but still in a calm village road. We would definitely come back!
