We stayed here from December 31, 2024-January 2, 2025 and had a wonderful stay. The check-in was seamless. The rooms were spacious with clean and modern bathrooms and very charming decor full of little touches, comfy beds and our kids loved the loft in the family room! The cafe associated with the hotel had delicious western and Sri Lankan breakfast options, good coffee, and an extensive lunch and dinner menu. We had a great time playing at their foosball table. The location was the perfect walking distance to the fort walls, lighthouse and other historic restaurants and shops. The owners, Maneyika and Charles, were super friendly and went above and beyond by helping us with a small medical issue and recommending nearby attractions. Highly recommend staying here for families or couples.

What a wonderful place to stay . The house is simple and rustic. It has everything you need and nothing that you don’t ! The beach was beautiful, almost like a private beach and you fall asleep to sound of the waves crashing on the sand. There are a few beach bar /restaurants on the beach if you fancy a change, and good local shops outside on the road. Shehan is the perfect host,nothing is too much trouble , his mums cooking is second to none and the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Absolutely 5 stars for everything .

The stay at Villa Arushina was exceptional. The lady took care of every request, the beautiful villa is impeccably decorated, a clean and air-conditioned room with toilet and shower. The internet was also excellent. Happily, I arrived at a great time - on New Year's Eve! I got to experience the holiday in a pure authentic way and learn about Buddhist customs and tradition. Eat local food through breakfast and holiday dinner. For me it was an amazing experience. I got to know a lovely family. I have no doubt that on my next visit to Sri Lanka I will return there. This is our favorite place in Sri Lanka. We are always happy to return to the wonderful Siri and Manila. A very calm and comfortable place. Great breakfasts - this time we asked for vegetarian ones from the local cuisine- what we didn't try🙏, very tasty and great for health💚Manil is an excellent cook, and Siri knows all the medicinal properties of local plants🙏The guest house has 3 rooms - each has a kitchen and a washing machine. Everything is very conveniently arranged for life. Thank you very much, we will be glad to return💕

Location: 10/10 Nestled in the peaceful village of Pitiwella, just a short and pleasant distance from the historic Galle Fort, Villa Serene offers the ideal balance of tranquility and accessibility. We loved being a mere 5-minute stroll from the beautiful Pitiwella Beach, allowing for spontaneous dips in the ocean and stunning sunset walks. The convenience of nearby local shops for daily needs, coupled with easy access to tuk-tuks and the main bus route, meant we could explore Galle and its surroundings effortlessly, yet return to the serene embrace of the villa. Accommodation & Comfort: 10/10 The villa itself is a true gem. Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, it felt like a home away from home. We stayed in the one-bedroom villa, which was generous in size (around 1873 sq ft!) and boasted a fully equipped kitchen – perfect for those who enjoy preparing their own meals. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the tropical heat, and the comfortable king-sized bed ensured restful nights. Amenities & Facilities: 10/10 Villa Serene truly goes above and beyond with its offerings. The fast, free Wi-Fi (a speedy 122 Mbps!) was a huge plus, allowing us to stay connected effortlessly. The availability of a washing machine was incredibly convenient for longer stays. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like mosquito nets, a flat-screen TV, and quality linens.
