It is the perfect getaway spot. Clean, cozy, quiet. Samantha (the host) is very nice and hospitable. Home cooked meals. Decent prices. Warm water for shower. Clean beds. Yes, there are ants and mosquitos, but remember, you're at the tropics (just bring some "Off" and an ant spray). For the price you pay, no complaints. And again, the hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

The staff are extremely nice and we were looked after above and beyond and appreciate how willing they were to help wherever we needed it. The rooms where beautiful as was the pool and beach and a delicious menu at the restaurant once again great staff.

Such a gem!! From the location just across the beach, the very kind staff, amazing and facilities plus the possibility to do activities such as ATV, Efoil, rent bikes etc I had a great stay here and definitely will come back. Thanks to the team for the great experience!

It’s by far the cutest, nicest and coziest place we stayed in the Philippines so far. We arrived really late (1:30h am) and the owner was still waiting for us to give us a nice welcome!

What a bargain! Clean facilities, comfy space. Can’t complain for the price. And also got a cooked egg breakfast with it! The lady who owns it was so lovely, she even accompanied us to get the moto next day to maya.

It’s simple as the local folks of the island! The place is so quiet and near to some hang outs or a walk in the night along the coast of the beaches! The apartment is simple but very clean and quiet in the night. Jane the hotel/apartment manager is exceptionally hospitable and very helpful all her recommendations for panoramic sightseeing and for the beaches around to visit were all worth to see! We had two stay two nights due to bad weather and we are so happy we did. Bridget the host it's an absolute star, super friendly and engaging, a Maya local that will go above and beyond to help the guests, for instance she took us to the breakfast place, it's only a 10 min walk but she insisted that we didn't need to walk if she was available to bring us there unless we decided to do so to get the local experience, locals by the way are so... so friendly towards tourists in general at Maya. The ATM didn't work, she took us to the next barangai to the one that did no charge! Really she even made us coffe in the morning, couldn't be any happier with her we feel so lucky we found her along our journey. The location it's great next to the market, bakery with fresh out the oven donuts and bread, sari sari shops and the port to go into Malapascua. The shower worked great with good water pressure and warm water! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, toiletries provided, the AC worked like a clock, the balcony was better then tv watching all the locals go about theyr day. The price was amazing for the quality that you actually get but lacks in other places more expensive over in the phillipines. We will certainly be back when traveling that route again. Thanks Bridget for making it so comfortable, pleasant and stress free to stay and travel trough Maya.

Good guy running the shop. I arrived late after a long bus ride from Cebu and he was kind enough to drive me to the only shop still open for food and also to the ferry wharf the next day. Great little place to spend the night
