The property was beautifully located by the woods and close to a lake. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Also very knowledgeable about the history of the place and the area. We went down to the lake for a swim and used the wood burning sauna. There were also canoes and rowing boats for all the guests to use. My daughter enjoyed the hobby horses and I saw others making use of the croquet set and the bikes. We have decided to go back next year and stay for more than one night in order to make the most of the facilities 😊

The staff was really friendly and made us feel like home by being really courteous and always doing the most to make us feel welcome. We were offered freshly baked bread, the fireplace was lit up only for us and it was insisted on taking care of our dishes. Really the best experience we had with hostel staff! The rooms are nice with vey comfortable beds and nice linen. They have a refrigerator and microwave on the hallway on ecah floor. It was very usefull for us since we have small children and neede to warm milk. The restaurant was delicious! Very good food and decent prices! And there is a Coop supermaker just outside in case you need anything.
