What really made the difference for staying here was the front desk staff - particularly Jodie and Kim. They were both very friendly and supportive.Kim was working a double shift due to another staff member being unable to come in, and she was still upbeat and helpful, even though she had only had a few hours sleep. She provided local information for restaurants and sightseeing. Her stories and information about different aspects of that area of North Carolina were insightful, and a pleasure to hear.

Excellent location just outside of Black Mountain. Quiet location with easy access to Black Mountain and area. Beautiful grounds and 200-year-old heritage trees. History of this 200-year-old ex-stagecoach stop. Simple but comfortable with quite a bit of simple art deco period furnishings and art.
