The property is closed to the highway and a shopping center with some restaurants. Owners are kind and attentive. We were welcome with our dog.

Centrally located in Enns, Hotel zum Goldenen Schiff offers rooms with a flat-screen cable TV, 50 metres from the city tower and next to the Lauriacum Museum. A sauna can be used against a surcharge and Austrian cuisine is served at the on-site restaurant. We were upgraded to an apartment by the kind owner. It was facing the clock tower on the main market square. What a perfect location to have a nice dinner and a long walk through the old town afterwards. We were thrilled to be in such an old building (13th century) with amazing history. Make sure you ask the host about his remodel. He will show you photos that are just amazing. We were very happy with the bedding, shower, and living space. Everything was very high quality. We had a safe place in the back to store our bicycles. Instead of paying the 17 eu for breakfast, I went just outside the hotel in the morning (like the host recommended) and there was a little farm market going on. I bought rolls, meats, cheeses, fruit and veggies and made our own breakfast for much less. We had coffee with us, and were allowed to get hot water, cups, plates, and cutlery from the buffet downstairs. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

I have never stayed at a golf club hotel before so it was something different from the hotels I usually stay. The breakfast buffet was rich and a little healthier than a typical buffet. It was nice to take breakfast outside and enjoy the view of the golf field.
