The location is great, right at the beach, and mangrove forest right behind the house. There are good food options near by and bar next door. There is no shoes policy which keeps the place clean, but also gives you natural, comfortable and cozy feeling. It is decorated tastefully, with a lot of natural material, beautiful forest view, and sea breeze. Have in mind if you are coming from Europe or elsewhere the 110V plugs, the place has just enough infrastructure to feel comfortable, but be mindful it’s in nature. Setting is beautiful with river and the ocean, and staff was really helpful about where to eat, helping us arrange the transport from the airport, and we were pretty demanding guests. Also there have 3 adorable kitties in the house.

Great, affordable place. Along beach. Only one restaurant that is very close by. Shower had no hot water, but expected for the area. Keep doors and windows closed because many bugs in the area. Nice stay!

The staff and owner are making you feel welcome and at home directly. They put so much love in this project and in hosting you and you can feel and see it in all the details. The vegan food is the best food we've had so far on our trip in Colombia. The views are breathtaking. The location is in the middle of the jungle with a natural swimming pool with the river. The cacao and fruit tour is super interesting (highly recommend!). I can just recommend to stay here, we really loved it. Thanks again for everything. Highlight of our trip so far!

With garden views, Serrano Tayrona Lodge is situated in El Zaino and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden and terrace. Most people stay 1 to 3 nights. We stayed 10 nights and easily could have stayed another 10. While the room itself is nothing special, the setting and view from the large deck on the side of a hill set in tropical forest is both quiet and spectacular. A special thanks to the hosts, Brumella and Paulo for their wonderful energy, good humor and generosity. It made staying here easy and fun. Each morning they cook up fresh included breakfasts and at night offered 4 or 5 options for dinner. We ate there every night. Also the internet is surprisingly good given the remote setting. While tayrona park is the big draw, we found the little river 15 minutes walk away more enjoyable given its peaceful tropical setting and pools of clear refreshing water. Usually we were the only people there unlike the mobs in tayrona. Finally the other thing i really enjoyed was getting up at sunrise, sitting out on the deck and listening to all the birds and the howler monkeys greeting another day. It doesn't get better than that

We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.
