The accommodation was excellent and well presented by householder Kevin, who met us on arrival. It also has a secure yard for parking. Less than three minute walk into the town Square, where one will find a pet friendly cafe, known as Ciara's Candy and cafe. Kevin has a pub as well, where your pet is welcome and the staff and locals are very friendly and helpful. We had a Totally relaxed break and even our cockapoo, Mitzi relaxed for a change, as she does not travel to well. A good base for traveling from. Definitely be back. The Carranstown Lodge next door offers a wide selection of tasty meals and gluten free options, which we needed. It is centrally located within the Boyne Valley historic site must-dos and has free parking with surveillance and is quiet. A nearby soccer field provided fun evening entertainment. I would definitely return to this lodging in the future.
