The view of Lake Mývatn was just awesome from the bar and the restaurant. Best location possible. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Will use this hotel again on my next visit. Food in the restaurant was very good both diner and breakfast. Bonus was seeing the northern lights dance above the lava fields surrounding the hotel.

We loved the quiet location in the beautiful green surrounding with mountain and waterfall views. The hot tub, well equipped kitchen, very good beds were great. The owners are very kind and offer good communication and great service. This was the best stay for us in Iceland!

Tjörn is a recently renovated guest house in Hvammstangi, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. The property features mountain and garden views. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The location is amazing and the house felt so cozy and welcoming. Well maintained and a lot of common space. Really enjoyed staying there.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 9 km from Myvatn Nature Baths. The location was excellent and the view of the lake was stunning. The suite was beautifully decorated. We appreciated the washing machine.

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. New building. Spacious common area and large sparkling modern kitchen. Including washer/ drier so you can do laundry while preparing a meal. Ready for a large group. Large bedroom and bathroom with shower. The bedroom opens to a deck. There may be a view. All we saw was snow and fog/ cloud. Iceland was having a late winter to mid-April.

Grásteinn Guesthouse features a private beach area, garden, barbecue facilities and shared lounge in Þórshöfn. This guest house provides free private parking and luggage storage space. Guests can make use of outdoor furniture if they wish to dine or sit outside. Outstanding location! The studio we booked was the coziest place we've seen in Iceland. The owners have incredible taste. Also, freshly baked Icelandian bread is served for breakfast! I don't believe you can find something better. If you like dogs, there are 3 :)

Our host was an incredibly warm and welcoming woman that made us feel right at home. The breakfast is homemade, delicious and varied. The accommodation is beautiful and you can tell a lot of thought was put into it. Can't recommend this place enough!

Located in Varmahlid in the North Iceland region, Midsitja features a patio and mountain views. The property has river and garden views. Our room was so cute and had a lot of character (not just a boring bland hotel room). The hosts were so sweet. We had no issues with noises, even though all rooms were booked.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made us feel immediately at home. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view over the fjords — it was truly unforgettable and gave in the morning a special start. The location is perfect: close to the city, yet peaceful and quiet, so you get the best of both worlds. Shops and restaurants are within easy reach, and it’s a great base for exploring the area. Overall, excellent value and an experience we would gladly repeat!
