In the case of Casa Cielo e Mare, it was totally the case! Before arriving to Lipari, Osvaldo texted us he would have come for us to pick us up with the car and get us to the place. Once up on the hill, we were welcomed by a literally stunning view, Rio de Janeiro style, overlooking both Marina Lunga and Marina Corta, the Castle, Monte Rosa and Monte Gallina… absolutely breathtaking! While looking after the administrative tasks (registering our IDs), he gave us a complete hands on guide on what to do on the island and which means of transportation to choose (mainly scooter or car), places that are worth a visit and several logistic tips… many! Food: continental breakfast with various options to choose from. Worth a mention the eggs Simona prepares… d-e-l-i-c-i-u-o-s. Accomodation: clean and simple. Highlights: to go back to the B&B up on the steep hill, most guests will prefer either to call Osvaldo, who will come for you for a symbolic price, or to rent a car. Do not attempt to the steep hill on a scooter if you are not an expert driver! Please, be serious about it, walk instead, it’ll be good for you especially if you are out of shape :) Tigro and Pierino, the two cats of the house, are the kings of the place. Close to the center, shops, beach (only 50 steps away). We even had two bathrooms to use. There were turtles in the garden that our kids enjoyed looking at. Bartolo is the best ever host. Picked up, and dropped us off from/and to the ferry port early in the morning. He gave us the best recommendations, always was responsive. He offered us a tour around the island with the best viewpoints. Also helped us when our kid was sick. Such a kind person. Highly recommend this place!

San Bartolomeo Cathedral is 1.6 km from Villa Grazia Lipari. Wow wow wow, we (family of 5) loved this apartment. It was the best one we stayed at ,out of all the ones we went to during our 5 week holiday. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. It was spacious, felt fresh, clean , great air conditioning . The decor was lovely and it had great views. The front veranda was fantastic..we chose to not go out for dinner but get food from local cafe’s restaurants and food from the grocery store and eat dinner on the beautiful verandah with a gorgeous view! The washing machine was a communal one downstairs but that wasn’t a problem. We’d DEFINITELY recommend this place ( especially our upstairs unit) with no hesitation.

The apartments are very nice and have the best patios and the most stunning views of the ocean and neighbouring islands. The host Claudio and his 2 brothers Paolo and Pipo were so kind and welcoming to us. They made us feel so at home and welcomed and gave us some fantastic recommendations of what to see and do around the Island. It was our favourite place we stayed and we are really hoping to return to Villa Paradiso again!

San Bartolomeo Cathedral is 3.9 km from the aparthotel. Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. He met us at the port and took us to the apartments. Although we arrived very early, but the accommodation is in the afternoon, they found the opportunity to accommodate us much earlier and even fed us with breakfast. The apartments were very comfortable, spacious, everything was clean. The children were especially delighted with the pool. We were also taken to the port on the day of check out. We are very satisfied with the time spent in these apartments!

The scenery was magnificent, we have the best view on the islands in the garden and we get to enjoy our breakfast there too. Amazing! The breakfast was also really good ; everything you would need and of good quality. The staff could not have been more perfect. We felt safe, cared for with warmth and availability. Really, thanks again to everyone we encountered there! The walk down the main area is not that long and safe. You can also rent cars/scooter or take taxis pretty easily. Would 100% recommend to take a day trip to the surrounding island (including Stromboli). It was a great value for money and a great addition to our stay!
