Osaka Itami Airport is 36 km away. The couple Morio and Yoshiko are incredibly kind, friendly and warm-hearted. I feel so welcomed. It made me feel at home. Morio even drove me to the tourist site. I’d love to come back again and stay at their house.

A 10-minute walk from the JR Kyoto Train Station, Takigawa Ryokan features comfortable Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. A public bath is available, and massages can be requested for relaxation. Guests can borrow Kimono robes for free, but will be charged for dry cleaning costs. This Ryokan was excellent in many ways. First, although the place is within walking distance from Kyoto station, you can also take the subway right next to the location (in case you have large suitcases). Second, it is pet friendly! They accepted my and my small Chihuahua, and they also respected my wishes to put off cleaning in order to allow my dog to roam freely in the room. Third, the staff are so friendly and accommodating! My partner couldn't sleep because of some noise in the next room and so the staff happily moved him to a quieter room IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! They were wonderfully accommodating! 本当にありがとうございました。
