This place is really an oasis in the heart of Tlacotalpan. The building is beautifully restored with period-appropriate tiling, fixtures, and hardwood pillars. Our standard room was modestly sized but nicely appointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and Louis the housecat is a lively presence! The whole vibe is very calm, quiet, and classy. We didn't try the spa facilities, but appreciated the pool, bathrobes, etc. A great place for a break in one of the prettiest small towns in the Americas.

Exactly what I was looking for. Xico is a super cute town and this hotel reflects the simple beauty of it. Everything was clean, the shared spaces were inviting, the kitchen was nice, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had everything I needed. I was greeted by Maribel who showed me around and told me if I needed anything to just ask! As a solo traveler, this place suited all my needs. There is also a bonus orchid garden for those into botany :)

It is in regular Mexican neighborhood, if that is wild for you, well, be informed. Plenty safe. There is a tourist bus very close to property, free, very cool. There is an awesome park/ river very close also. If you are an experienced traveler, this place is AWESOME! Very short walk to Mercado Cerritos, and towards downtown you can walk along the river the whole way, about 20-30 mins, but easy bus access also straight down to Parque Alameda in 8-10 mins. Nice to be a little away from downtown for me, I was there during August vacation time and the center was pretty packed and busy.
