Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. The spacious cabin is set in beautiful grounds. Multi-lingual Syr- Daria was the perfect hostess; warm, welcoming and a great cook. Her Thai curry was fabulous. She also helped us by posting on my glasses when I left them behind - this was a much appreciated kindness.

the hot spring pools with Rincon de la Vieja view and 24-hour flowing water, which comes from the volcano. The temperature of the pools are different, so you could choose the one that fits you. Very friendly persons. The food tastes also good 👍 a surprise experience here. Be careful ! The main entrance is just on the main road. Don't always trust Google maps, he may accidentally send you to the back door.

Great central location to all the attractions as National Park and Springs. Delicious dinner offered by the host (home made) which was the testiest that we ate in Costa Rica for good price. Quiet and isolated surroundings. Welcoming host who advised on on best attractions , logistics decisions and everything!
