The place was fantastic , clean and neat. The food was amazing. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is a little remote. If you are looking for a complete detox from people and be surrounded by nature , this will be an ideal place.

The property was well maintained by Anton who did all the turnover service during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to order meals through him throughout our stay. We were able to try out all the traditional Sri Lankan food and everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious! The rooms were large and clean, so was the rest of the villa. The pool was well looked after so a great source of fun for the kids! The area was very convenient for our visit and the owners were also nice enough to help us with a later checkout due to our night flights. Great service, great villa, fab holiday spot that served us well during our stay in Sri Lanka.

We had a 3 night stay at Ayr Castle, and I would highly recommend it for anyone wishing to travel to relax and spend a few days to rejuvenate. We loved everything about the place. The location was stunning, and our suite was simply perfect for relaxing. The food was really great, with a nice selection of meals. The staff were very hospitable, welcoming, and attentive. The peaceful surroundings and the magnificent scenery were hardly things you would expect from a place just an hour's drive away from Colombo. It was the perfect escape for two people who were wishing for solitude and comfort. I would like to thank the team for making us feeling welcome and giving us an amazing stay!

We were greeted with the warmest, most genuine smiles, which immediately made us feel at ease. The staff are the true heart of this place. They are incredibly attentive, professional, and seem to anticipate your needs before you even ask. Every request is met with a "can-do" attitude and a warmth that feels truly special. The Room & Views: Our room is a beautifully designed haven of comfort and style. It's proper and clean, with thoughtful amenities and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. And the view... wow! Waking up and looking out over the breathtaking landscape is a magical experience that a photo could never fully capture. The hotel's name, "Ahas Gawwa" (The Horizon), is perfectly fitting. You truly feel like you're floating above the world. Ambiance & Atmosphere: The entire property exudes a sense of peace and tranquility. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The architecture blends beautifully with the stunning natural surroundings, creating an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply relaxing. The Food: Every meal has been a culinary delight! The chefs are clearly passionate about what they do, using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. We've enjoyed a fantastic array of both local Sri Lankan flavours and international cuisine. Overall: We cannot recommend Ahas Gawwa highly enough. Our 3-night stay has been a dream, and our only regret is that we will eventually have to leave.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and a great value for the price. The owner was very flexible and supportive as we had to check in very late and check out early in the morning. He was very attentive to detail, making sure that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The location is stunning overlooking a bird nature reserve and the staff are the kindest people. The curry dinner that was made for us has been the nicest food we have had in Sri Lanka so far

Wow. Waking up to be surrounded by serenity of the lake early morning. Service and food were exceptional on the houseboat. The rooms were luxurious.

It's a gorgeous place for everyone who loves smaller boutique hotels, where appearance and tidiness are everything. This place is suitable for everyone who seeks peace and tranquillity. The owners are lovely, they even gave us a free upgrade of the room!
