Nice comfortable beds, clean room with a wonderful view of the bridge (not the famous one!) and the parking was right outside our window. We didn't try the breakfast so can't tell. Many nice places nearby within 5min walking distance to grab something to eat for lunch or dinner. The location is absolutely perfect no matter how you wish to go downtown, that was the main reason we chose it in the first place. By car you are ideally located with free parking spot, and the bus station is right across the street. Made our visit carefree and allowed us to enjoy our staying there with no additional worries.

    Lovely room - with such attention to detail. That was true of the whole hotel. Breakfast was great; complimentary drinks, the patio and lounges. And the swimming pool was fantastic. Overall I loved the homey atmosphere, comfort and attention to detail. And the staff were very friendly.

    Elegant interior, Julia Morgan architecture, gorgeous internal swimming pool, courteous staff, delicious breakfast, dinner specials, the sound music being played on the Steinway piano in the library, easy walk location to U of California campus & BART station - Bay Bridge view from our bedroom.

    Thanks for serving breakfast and always having coffee available. I enjoyed my stay and encourage anyone to pick this place over any other locations in Berkeley. You will find that for about the same amount of money you won't get the beautiful inside interior look of fanciness compared to the motels that are run down loud and often say they serve breakfast and DON'T. This motel looks more like a hotel and has a swimming pool. The cleaning staff is very nice if you need more TP, shampoo, soap and towels.

    They have an indoor heated swimming pool, a wide selection of breakfast options if your stay included breakfast. There stunning walking paths throughout the marina. Jian, the server at the boathouse is the beat! Polite, serviceable and entertaining. We will be back for sure!

    The hotel is gorgeous and like stepping into another world. Julia Morgan was a genius. The swimming pool is stunning, as are the lovely garden nooks. Very centrally located and close to public transit. Breakfast was very good and we appreciated the complementary cocktail at Morgan's! It's a bit of a splurge, but totally reasonable for what it is.
