It's just a wonderful old city with lots of interesting places the wall walk was great even with a walking stick. Outside the walls would recommend the tuk tuk trip, got to see the area around it, buy the pass for 1 or 3 days for buses and wall. Also the ferries from city harbour were good. Split & the whole of Croatia has so much history to explore. I would recommend a walking tour, unfortunately we did not have enough time. The shops are lovely to walk around, blended into Diocletian's palace, beautiful place. Picasso's cafeb/bar beside our accommodation was lovely for breakfast, get there early as it fills up quickly. Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. Beautiful old town, essential to take a boat trip along the bay to view the majestic mountains. The cable car is also a great activity, not only do you get a view of Kotor Bay but when you get to the top there is a lot to explore. The roads are very busy so it takes a while to get around. Essential to book a taxi before you arrive at the airport as the taxis from there are very expensive. Absolutely amazing scenery. Beautiful city packed with history, culture, fantastic food and great amenities, all centrally located. Everywhere easily walkable, but good local bus services run too.
