It seems that much of the original charm of the hotel has been preserved. The suite was nice with good closet space, but the bathroom was a bit small, with the shower inside the bathtub. The teenager’s bed was a sofa, which is probably better suited for small children than for a teenager. The pillows were very hard. Small balcony with space for only 2 people. No place to hang wet swimwear. The spa area was very nice, with a lovely indoor heated pool. The gym was small but adequately equipped. Breakfast was okay. Lacking a bit to meet international standards. Large outdoor pool area. The area around the pool needs an upgrade, and the wooden sunbeds need sanding and painting. The bar area also needs a proper upgrade. Very good food in the restaurant, both for lunch and dinner. Good service from the staff. Private beach for the hotel. The sunbeds were a bit worn, but there was good spacing between them. Excellent service from the beach manager, Dino, who was very accommodating. Before staying at the hotel, we rented sunbeds here for almost 14 days, and he was just as service-minded then, even though we weren’t hotel guests. Beach service was excellent. Quick and friendly waiters. There were guards on the beach to ensure that vendors and others didn’t disturb the guests. New rooftop bar with good drinks and a beautiful view. Great service. All in all, a nice hotel with good facilities. Some areas need upgrades, but that doesn’t significantly affect the overall impression. Bedroom is big enough with a comfy mattresses. We traveled with only small luggage, so the washing machine in the apartment was a great advantage. The balcony was large with an outdoor seating, nice view of the sea and a clothes dryer (4th floor). Lift was a big advantage especially for my 80 years old mum. Restaurant is on the ground floor and we had HB. You can choose for breakfast fried eggs, omelettes, sausages, cheese, butter, vegetable, fruit, jam, müsli, yogurt, croissant, usually 1 more type of cake and coffee + non alcoholic drinks from machine. For prepaid dinner you have 4 courses, each has a few options and includes also glass of wine, draught beer or Fanta, Cola or Sprite. Supermarket 2 minutes on foot. But most of all we love the hospitality, willingness and help from Toni and his staff. Always ready to help and give an advise. You can also order transfer from/to Tirana airport. I cannot say this is the best accommodation in the world but for the price we paid it was worth it and we really like our stay here. Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. Kruje is charming and small.
Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. The beaches are awefull around Cape Rodon. Lot's of trash and garbage floating around the beaches and sea. Currently there are 2 newly built resorts (Saint Michelle Residence and Resort Arbeni) being demolished for unknown reasons. Our first booked accomodation let us know that they had to cancel our booking due to Albanian new legislation (Piceri Rodoni). In my opinion it is better to stay at the beaches of Dürres and visit the cape as half a day trip. But if you want to have a non-active holiday, Rodoni resort is the best place you could imagine to stay.Guest review byRoBelgium - 10.0

I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam.
I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam. All of my credit card purchases serviced by Raiffheisen Bank were declined at grocery stores for some reason. Several ATMS did not provide me with cash. I had to take cash out of an ATM that charged me $50 US Dollars to take cash out, because the card servicer wasn't approving the card transactions at the grocery store. I have not had this serious of a problem in any other country. I didn't really explore a lot. I wish there was a store that carried camping/hiking equipment. I think the coastline is nice. Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far.
