Lovely spacious super clean room with lovely owners who were easily contactable our entire stay. We are backpackers and just stayed here the night after our hike for some comfort. Would 100% recommend staying here. It is a very new accommodation so doesn’t have many reviews yet, please don’t let this put you off booking your stay here. It was like home away from home. It's one of the best apartments we've ever been to. The host, Mr. Elvis was lovely, very helpful, and informative. The room was clean and airy, the shower was on wellness level, and the view was absolutely brilliant. Breakfast was delicious. If we ever go back to Albania, we are definitely coming here.     Great hotel. The price corresponds to the quality. I want to note: - Attentive and polite staff, pleasant workers in the spa area, at the reception, waiters, parking workers and maids. Everyone tried to help with any questions and were very friendly - The room had a kitchenette, stove, large refrigerator, dishes, safe, bathrobes, slippers, bar, baby cot - The bathroom is large and bright, excellent magnifying mirror, hair dryer, shampoo, gels, soap - There was a Jacuzzi in the bathroom (we were surprised because we didn't expect this from the photo) - the children were delighted - Periodically there was a ringing from the mosque, but it did not interfere at all - The room is very warm, we opened the windows at night - We had dinner in a restaurant, delicious and at the same price as in the nearest restaurants - We paid with a contactless card. Keep in mind that only debit (personal) cards work

    This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes.

    This time I saw Shkodra with different eyes. The city’s diversity of people and cultural mix stood out strongly, and over the weekend the lively atmosphere of parties gave it an energetic spirit. What touched me most, however, were the Catholic churches scattered around the city. Stepping into them gave me a profound sense of spirituality and peace, balancing the vibrant social scene outside. Shkodra truly holds a unique charm – a place where culture, celebration, and spirituality come together beautifully.

    It was the first time to be in Velipoje.

    It was the first time to be in Velipoje. It's not a big city but I am positively surprised. The Velipoja beach (where we were placed) was clean, the water was so clear and warm. The kids part with the toys at the center of the city was excellent. The food was good tasted, fresh and the staff was very polite.

    Five star service.

    Five star service. The staff really makes you feel like family and goes above and beyond. The animals all contribute to the farm and are so well taken care of. They’re all a part of the experience. The rooms are impeccably clean and traditional with modern upgrades (best plumbing, great AC, hotel toiletries, great shower etc), clean, crisp white sheets. All of the things you’d expect in a five star hotel, except this feels more like your own home. Gzim and his wife are wonderful and provide help whenever you need advice for local restaurants or a ride nearby. Mrizi is literally 3-4 min max by foot. I preferred staying at Vitoria over Mrizi, and would return again. My son loved it! And Breakfast was wonderful!!

    The hotel is close to the beach, which was great.

    The hotel is close to the beach, which was great. The pool was small but clean, and my son really enjoyed it. Breakfast was OK, and there are small shops nearby, along with parking available. I would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for one issue: the cooking utensils. If you plan to book an apartment, I recommend bringing your own cooking pans, or you’ll be disappointed.

    Reviews we read of Shkoder said it's a university town with lots of biking. Not sure what those reviewers were writing about, but there weren't many bike friendly areas and the town was not as vibrant as we expected. We did spend some time in the Shiroka area on the lake a 10 minute or so drive from Shkoder and that was very nice - good restaurants and lake activities. We also went to the mountains and stayed in Theth, which was wonderful and highly recommended.
