Tirana is an exciting, rapidly improving city, with a lot of things to see, vivid culture, old, socialist, and modern architecture, but also many green spots, trees, parks. The best way to get around is walking, public transport is by bus, and you can get stuck in traffic. There are also city bikes, that could be useful. I feel like going back and exploring more places, other districts of the city, the Lake Park, the mountains around, the Dajti mountain for example. I stayed for 2 days and booked a half day bus tour to Bovilla Lake in advance. It was also nice, but I also could have spent this time walking in the city and the local parks.Guest review byMonikaAustria - 10.0

Didn't feel like Albania - very nice spacious beach with a shallow calm sea. Some areas are developed and others are not, covered in rubbish and derelict buildings. Lots of shops selling all you need.Guest review byMarek LasekUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Vore is well located between two main metropolitan cities in Albania. At the same time it’s a location where you can have a peace of mind. Being a small town one can not expect to have a metropolitan city has to offer but there is enough of what someone would need on daily bases.Guest review byAhmetUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Hidden gem.
Hidden gem. Pellumbas is only 30 min from Tirana bud it is actually beautiful small village with superb views, especially during sunset. Hiking treks are in nearby mountains, one trek leads to huge interesting cave and start directly frim the village center. Local people are very warm and welcoming. We stayed in Rozmarine pension and would go again for longer.Guest review byEva ŠatavováCzech Republic - 8.0

I loved the bizarre mixture of architecture in the city. People were friendly and helpful, which is not usually the case for the capital city. I definitely recommend visiting both Bunk'art locations. I loved the food in Albania.Guest review byMarekSlovakia - 8.0

It's inexpensive here, the sea is beautiful, but there are no attractions. And the biggest problem is cleanliness. There is a lot of trash on the beach, a lot of open trash cans, in some places it stinks of sewage, and in one place something is leaking from a large pipe right onto the sand on the beach. If you stay at a good hotel, you may not notice any of this. But if you go for a walk around the city, unfortunately, it is clear that there are major problems with cleanliness.Guest review byDmytroCzech Republic - 10.0

Tirana is a lively and colorful city full of energy, history, and charm. The capital of Albania offers a unique mix of modern life and tradition. You can explore Skanderbeg Square, visit museums, and enjoy the vibrant café culture. The city is surrounded by mountains, making it easy to escape into nature for hiking or a trip to Mount Dajti. Tirana’s nightlife is fun and diverse, with many bars and restaurants serving delicious local food. People are warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.Guest review byK.R - 10.0

After almost 2,000 km traveled by car in nearly 30 hours due to countless traffic jams, we managed to arrive home without other problems, but of course extremely tired—yet with beautiful memories, to which you also contributed with your kindness and the valuable advice you gave us. We learned, with your help, that Albania is a beautiful country, still in a period of reconstruction, full of wonderful and hardworking people, always ready to help you with everything they can. But perhaps the most important thing is that they have not forgotten that Romanians and Albanians have been, and still are, brothers. We are connected by both past and present. The first thing that surprised us about our host was the outstanding cleanliness we found inside the apartment. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with absolutely everything necessary, air conditioning in every room as well as in the kitchen, clean bed sheets, immaculate white towels, etc. It has happened to me to stay in luxury hotels and not find this level of perfection. About the hosts, we have only words of praise. Even before our arrival, they checked if we were all right, if anything had happened, and during our entire stay they were always there for us—at any hour—through WhatsApp and even through Mr. Nardi himself coming to the apartment in person, even though they live quite a distance away. We were pleasantly surprised that we even had free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. At our departure, they even offered to help us if we needed anything. Sincere congratulations to these people who once again showed us that Albanians are people with big hearts, always ready to help you as long as you respect them and come with good intentions to their country.Guest review byVlad-DomitianGermany
