The cold cut meat and cheese selection is more than enough for anyone. The homemade homemade items are fantastic. Room: I had a corner room (210) which meant there were two sides with windows and balcony. The room is very spacious, the bathroom is very large; the fact that toilet is separated from the shower with an actual wall is nice. The soap and shampoo is also very high quality. Location: It's a bit outside Kitzbuhel. This means you can't really walk to the city center. You need to either drive or take public transport which is a 5min walk from the hotel. Being outside Kitzbuhel means you are in the nature which I prefer; a nice morning walk in the woods, around the lake is priceless. Restaurant: It's a restaurant that locals come to eat. Huge room, nice mountain view and very dog friendly (our dog got snacks at check-in and a bowl and blanket in the room). Good bed, great shower. Lots of storage. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent just like breakfast. Lots of walking trails nearby so you could leave your car in the hotel and do everything by foot. We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. Kitzbuhel is primarily a winter sports resort but also attracts summer visitors. An evening band performance and afternoon childrens events in the Kurpark were welcome surprises as we had no prior knowledge they were taking place. The local (free) Tourist Card gives small price reductions on cable cars and some other attractions but, in stark contrast to neighbouring Salzburg Province, lacks rail and/or bus travel benefits. Kitzbuhel has two railway stations. We did not find a street map showing how to get to hotels at either, The rail station by the cable car is unstaffed. UK tourists were seen using the ticket machine to buy outward and return tickets, unaware that a group ticket (Einfach Raus) would have cost less. Kitzbuhel was one of 5 stops on a longer trip. What I like about Kitzbühel is that it is elegant and glamorous, as well as relaxing and comfortable. You don’t need to rush anywhere, everything is close by. One is pampered by the local hospitality, which is a great feeling.
