The position of the castle on the peacefull Moravian Hills, the colors of the fall in the castle gardens and the surrounding woods, the clean room, the high beds which made you feel like Andersen's princess on the pea without a pea, the diversity of the breakfast and all the serene atmosphere of the village. It’s our second get away in this hotel. The hotel is above and beyond expectations, Everything is new and with a beautiful design, flowers everywhere, the wellness is the best part! Also the breakfast was amazing with lots of options (when we’ve been there first time not in the season there was no buffet so wasn’t as good as this time in the season but understandable because of very few people in the hotel not season). The Terrace on the roof top is super pretty with an amazing view. And the best part for us was that you can take your dogs, and let them out easily to the garden from the room, so also the doggies had a great time 😃. Also I would like to mention the beautiful nature around Thaya river really something special, and the quarry moskovice our favourite place in cz.

The location is great, walking distance from city center that is worth visiting. A lot of choice for breakfast and a nice ambient. We loved the wine that was waiting for us in the room as a welcome gift - it was a nice surprise and also very tasty. Would come back!

    We were 2+2 in a double room which meant that the sitting area (sofa) was transformed into a bed. There was enough space in the closets for all our stuff for a 6 day stay. There was a very nice playground right next to the building, and we put a blanket (brought from home) on the grass to sit on and keep an eye on the kids. The whole garden is just amazing, both for playing and relax, and we even saw beavers in the little river behind the fence. Decent breakfast in the morning, and selection of local wines for delight in the afternoon. We really appreciated the little summerhouse in the garden where we could spend evenings protected from wind and mosquitos. If you have an eye for nature, you will see plenty of birds right from the backyard, including woodpeckers and golden orioles. The restaurant next door was run by a different owner and open till afternoon on weekdays, but there were anyway plenty of options to eat out in the town.

    Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border.

    Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border. It is famous for its vineyards and wine tasting facilities. You should definitely walk up to the Mikulov castle and Sv Kopecek hill. This is a must see! We ate in O’Hara restaurant which is greatly recommended.

    It is a great old town with plenty of things to see, especially if you are into historical sightseeing and lovely nature/surroundings. Just make sure that you come at the right time. Due to our trip to the Czech Republic in January, we did stop in Znojmo, but were a little bit surprised that most of the sights have April-October opening time.

    Lednice is an easy place to get to.

    Lednice is an easy place to get to. Hey have great accommodations throughout the city. So many things to see and do as within the area. We loved venturing out on our adventures to see other parts of the country. It is very a beautiful area! People are very accommodating and helpful. I would love to go back another time to take in more of the sights.

    Very nice and clean small city, Moravia is a wine oriented region and during summer season it is full of people , and there is a great bicycle infrastrcture so, wines, bicycle, friends and czech people - cant get any better :)

    One of my favourite places in Czech Republic.

    One of my favourite places in Czech Republic. Amazing south-moravian microclimate, nice walks along tourist trails (also cycling routes), local wine and beer. There’s even a vegan restaurant – a rare find in smaller cities.

    The town was just the right size for a three day visit.

    The town was just the right size for a three day visit. We had our dog with us so no museums or galleries were on our list but we were welcome everywhere else. We'd highly recommend Víno Kára (only food available are meat and cheese plates) and Winebar Chatka for their wines (but not for food at all).

    Valtice are called the "hearth of czech winemaking" and I cannot more than agree. So many options what to do, from walking in the vineyards, enjoying historical sites, cycling, great food and wine in the local cellars or visiting neighbouring villages - there is always thing to do.

    Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels...

    Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels almost transported from Tuscany, rising above the otherwise flat landscape. We stayed for 11 days and could easily have stayed another 2–3 weeks, with so much still left to explore. The food and local wines are wonderful (highly recommend the Palava Fizzante - crisp, semi-dry, and perfect for summer). The town itself enchants with Renaissance houses, the Jewish quarter, and the castle of the Dietrichstein family, while the surroundings offer endless discoveries: Valtice and Lednice palaces, Sv. Kopeček hill, lakes, bike routes, the Turold caves, castle ruins of Děvičky, and even Roman and prehistoric treasures like the Venus of Dolní Věstonice. Beautiful views, warm atmosphere, and countless amenities make this region truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
