Hotel istelf! Interior and exterior. Swimming pool on the roof, view from pool as well from room is to valley, absolutely amazing! Staff! Staff, all staff, reception - manager and her assistants, kitchen - breakfast, restaurant personell - all them is on the right place and they are professionals in this. Everything is excellent managed, they all work as one team. They also were able to give useful reccomendations about activities outside and detailed weather forecast - for better choice to choose location for mountains hiking without clouds. Everything was great. Also there is lovely restaurants nearby and access to mountain lifts are in 10 minutes slow walking (summer time).

Excellent location just outside of Salzburg, yet it gives you a feeling of a detached heavenly place thanks to the views and ambiance. Stylish, cozy, clean room. Room and the hotel are decorated with pieces of art, I took time to walk around and checked many of them. Sufficient parking space, which is free of charge. The surroundings are just heavenly, as I sad. Very good breakfast, as the quality of food is superior. I am thinking to come back with friends or family!

We have just completed a 2 night stay in a family suite and I can not rave about this hotel enough. All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional and so good with my 10 year old daughter. The indoor and outdoor playroom were a big hit and the pool area is amazing. The food was excellent and our room was even nicer than the pictures. Thank to everyone for making my 50th birthday a memorable one!!!

The room is perfectly designed. I travel a lot for work and stay in many hotels. This Hotel was the most welcoming one. The room tempreature was adjusted to the cold winter weather outside and it was warm and welcoming. The hotel'facilities like Indoor pool, spa, etc were excellent to get relaxed and gain energy for the next day. The Breakfast was by far the best one I had in Austria.

    The location is really nice, although the hotel is a bit far away from the city centre. The trolley bus stop nearby allows for easy access to the major tourist destinations. If you are travelling around Salzburg with a rented or your own car, this option is a perfect choice - there is more than enough parking space, and it doesn't cost a fortune in comparison to the hotels in the city centre. For us, this was the primary aspect which affected our accommodation choice. The beds were spacious, clean and supportive enough for a good night sleep without any back pain (which I appreciate a lot). On your demand, the pillow can be replaced either with a natural or an orthopedic one to satisfy your demands. The huge windows offer a panorama view over Salzburg from every room. The design of the rooms and the illumination are truly cool. Small tips - there's a mini-fridge in the room, and you can ask for an HDMI cable at the reception to connect your laptop to the room's TV and watch your favourite videos on big screen. The "Rituals" bath cosmetics offered by the hotel free of charge only added to the pleasant experience.

Love the wellness area and the checkin area, very nice decoration and views. food and wine is very good! we love the kaiserschmarrn, which was the best we've ever had!!! room is big and clean. services are also nice and friendly, and hotel looks quite new actually. they also provided some activities like yoga for guests. In general very relaxing hotel for vacation, way beyond my expectation!

    The old town centre is very picturesque and the area around...

    The old town centre is very picturesque and the area around the Market Place is traffic-free. Mozart's birthpace is one of the main attractions and is very interesting to visit, and not too expensive either. I'm not too great with heights but I thoroughly enjoyed riding the funicular to the Castle for terrific views over the city and out towards the Alpine mountains. Mirabell Park is great for a leisurely stroll, and there is a small playground to keep the children entertained. The restaurants and bars are plentiful and serve a variety of different cuisines to suit all tastes, but try the local specialities such as sausages, stews, schnitzels and goulash, and there is always a good range of German and Austrian beers and lagers to choose from.

Would advise when booking accommodation that you book somewhere that includes the summer card as this gives you free access to all the gondolas in the area and free travel on local buses and trains plus discounted entry to many activities and saves you a lot of money.

In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

    A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

    It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

    I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer...

    I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

    Sankt Johann is a clean and beautiful town with gorgeous...

    Sankt Johann is a clean and beautiful town with gorgeous views of the mountains. Walked to visit the town center for breakfast at Bäckerei-Cafe-Konditorei Bauer. We visited Liechtensteinklamm just before they closed. It was the best time to visit the gorge.

    It is better to visit on a Friday and stay until Saturday.

    It is better to visit on a Friday and stay until Saturday. Sunday is very quiet. Almost no shops open and the best restaurants are either not open or require prior reservation. The city is much more than a Mozart touristy novelty. I enjoyed touring the Castle Fortress at the top of the hill. I was disappointed that the Salzburg museum and chapel were closed to visitors on Sunday. But this was due to special events and renovations.
