What a lovely place in Innsbruck! The area is close enough to walk to town but far enough to have a bit of peace and quiet. The building itself is stunning and the the design elements make for a very enjoyable stay. Our room was big enough for all our stuff and to relax in. We also enjoyed using the bicycles to discover other areas and places. Next time we'll also use the gym!

    The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple.     We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. I wanted my husband to see what a charming Tyrolean town it is. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was wonderful!

    Our stay in Sölden was delightful, with our hotel perfectly located near the ski lift. The phenomenal après-ski, especially at Giggijoch summit on Friday, made our visit thoroughly enjoyable and extra fun.

    nice town.

    nice town. Ideal base for early season hike (start of May) in Wilder Kaiser region. Most other places in vicinity are closed as main hiking season hasn't started yet. The local kaiserlift (chair lift) was open so takes you to start of good hikes..

    Not sure Lienz is on traveller's radar.

    Not sure Lienz is on traveller's radar. It's a must when travelling to Austria. Easy to get to by train from Germany and from within Austria. A small town easily navigated on foot. It's stunning. It was a shame the gondola was not operating though.

    Although Nauders is a ski town, it's an incredible place for a summer visit. Endless hiking, great bars and restaurants but still quaint and walkable. We only had two nights, but I could easily stay for a week.

    The DE-ticket works between Ehrwald and Garmish, despite that Ehrwald is in Austria, so one can travel freely there. The Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze and other locations are reachable by train/bus/cable car from Ehrwald. The Seebensee is fantastic lake, one can get there by a bus+cable car and using and normal road or a bus and a rather difficult via ferrata. Also there is an indoor climbing (about 15m high) gym with 4 automatic belaying stations in Ehrwald, so one can climb even during bad weather conditions.
