Collie is a great little town with huge potential for tourism. Situated in rolling hills and surrounded by beautiful native forests, streams and a magnificent dam, I would recommend at least a 1 or 2 night stay. Other attractions include a very realistic replica coal mine at the tourist information centre, a museum across the road containing thousands of fascinating artefacts and coal mining equipment. A stroll around town reveals vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock and I'm sure many other treasures waiting to be discovered. There are plenty of accommodation options but best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.Guest review byPhilipMaleyAustralia - 10.0
Best place to stay when golfing in the area.
Best place to stay when golfing in the area. It would also be very central for travelling in our south west as it’s near to many attractions. Walking distance to eating places. An entry to Bunbury and further south. Pretty and cool. Go crabbing on the estuary.Guest review byNeilAustralia - 8.0
It is a very pretty area, charming countryside.
It is a very pretty area, charming countryside. However, visitors need to have a vehicle to access outlying areas. Fergusion Valley is a short drive and quite picturesque with many wineries. However, information was limited and difficult to access.Guest review byDale KerferdAustralia - 8.0

A pleasant hamlet with a great bakery, decent cafes and a superb natural products health and beauty shop. The wintertime scenery is lush and green with Balingup making for a great one-night stop over.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We were 3 families and even though you shared the accommodation each family had their separate space as well. Excellent facilities. Play park near accommodation. Enough space for kids to run and ride bikes. Farm feeling. Private.Guest review byAnetteSouth Africa - 10.0
The over all experience of being free from the city.
The over all experience of being free from the city. The tranquility, the fresh air, the views and the relaxed atmosphere. The close proximity to Busselton itself too. The walking distance to the The Deck which has lovely food and awesome staff.Guest review byKarenAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful town with very friendly people and atmosphere. Lovely hiking routes and swimming holes. We ate at the Crown and food and service was excellent. The ladies in the Information Centre were knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Only stayed two nights. I really liked Australind.
Only stayed two nights. I really liked Australind. Motel room was spacious and had everything required. Loved sitting outside looking at the sunset and water. Next door to pub. Heaps of paths to ride push bikes - along Collie river, into Australind shops and even to Bunbury. Location was great. Saw dolphins. Road does make it a little noisy at times but ear plugs fix that for sleeping. I would stay again.Guest review byDianeAustralia
