- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 133 reviewsGrampians Pioneer Cottages are a real gem near Halls Gap @ the heart of the Grampians. We stayed here for the second time - this time with our family. We loved the cosy and beautifully furnished cottage, equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable and nestled in superb, wild nature. We admired the visit of many kangaroos, emus, birds … who were literally at our doorstep, enjoyed the fabulous fireplace in the evening. What an unforgettable experience. We hope we can come back again soon. We can highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.Guest review bySylviaThailand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 515 reviewsThe cabin was very clean, bright, airy and cheerful with a functional kitchen. There was also sufficient laundry facilities nearby. It is a short drive to all of the attractions we planned to visit and the information booklet on places of interest, town amenities was very helpful. To see the beautiful parrots, cockatoos as well as kangaroos around the property was so fun and enjoyable for us as was the walk to the dam of lake Bellfield.Guest review byPearl Lee LianSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 69 reviewsIt was one of the best stays we ever had in Australia. No, it’s actually THE BEST stay we had! Place was quiet and private; bed was so comfy that we didn’t wanna leave. We had such a great time cooking our meals together too. I would STRONGLY recommend DULC to anyone looking to spend some private and peaceful time with your loved ones.Guest review byJun HongSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 693 reviewsThis is the most wonderful place we were during our four week vacation in Austrlia. Nick is a great host and he made sure we had everyting we needed. We were the only guests at the time so it was very quiet, a great way to really enjoy nature. And there is much to enjoy in the Barrington Tops.Guest review byAnitaNetherlands

Also - we arrived a bit late on a cold evening and Alan had put on the heat pump for us so the chalet was warm and cosy when we got in :)Guest review bySusanSouth Africa

Halls Gap is beautiful.
Halls Gap is beautiful. We visited the new Gallery at WAMA and its botanical garden area, which we will definitely do again. There are some nice eateries. Flame Brothers was excellent, and the local wine shop stocks a great range of regional wines. The Pomonal Wildflower Show was a highlight, with lunch at Barneys. Surrounded by natural beauty it is a must visit.Guest review byBillAustralia - 8.0

I just stayed one night going through Horsham so cannot comment on except to say I did go across to the Victoria hotel for dinner and found the meals were very good and reasonable cost. Would certainly go there again.Guest review byVicAustralia - 10.0

Ararat is a lovely town in itself and has everything you need, town hall, art gallery, many shops, antiques, eating places, gift shops, swimming pool, indoor and out, recreation, park, drives up to Halls Gap and tourist attractions areas. Didn't like the mess and Barracks much, it was cheap and very pub style.Guest review byMareeAustralia - 8.0

A few pubs at Nhill, however the recommended place was shut for Sunday dinner unfortunately. Owner was helpful however and suggested a couple of alternatives (the only alternatives in Nhill!!!) Not much there but a friendly town halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. Think there was a bakery but that was closed. The IGA was open thank goodness.Guest review bySuzyQ17Australia - 10.0

Lake Tyrell was absolutely amazing - I’m sure you could visit everyday and see something different! Sea lake is a pretty little town with friendly locals and a great pub for meals. Green Lake is another little hidden gem in the area. Silo art was great - especially being lit up at night. Really enjoyed our time in Sea Lake.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

So much to do in town and the area. Charming town, friendly locals, excellent food at Victoria Hotel, & Cat Clarke's restaurant which featured local produce & bush tucker. Lake Tyrell and the silo art in the area are well worth your time!Guest review byMichaelAustralia - 10.0

Brilliant sample of country Victoria/Australia; genuine warm country welcome amid towering gums, native bushlands, great birdlife and cute animals. The easy walk through bushland to town delivers great food, sensational wine list and great morning coffee. ...and I'm a professional tour guide showing tourists around, so I'm a well-informed "purchaser"Guest review byLuigi De SotoAustralia - 8.0

It is a fascinating town, old goldfields, amazing 19thC architecture, good caravan park. For us it's been a transit overnight being halfway between Adelaide Hills Home and Falls Creek, with numerous trips to family winter and summer last 12 or so years. Worth a longer stay but ...circumstances... A shout-out to the Farmers Arms Hotel for good pub food on a Sunday evening!!Guest review byTim FatchenAustralia
