Bob and Shelby are incredible hosts! Walking into the Commercial Hotel felt like being welcomed into someone's home. Warm welcome, outstanding eclectic decor and meticulously organised treasures and all pristinely clean. Bonus points for not just being dog friendly but dogs genuinely welcomed. 10/10 and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at LTA Accommodation. The rooms were a lot larger than we were expecting and the facilities were super clean. There is everything there for you to host the perfect barbeque. The host was awesome and gave us some recommendations for local sites outside of Lake Tyrrell.

Spotless room, vintage features, and lots of space. Cleaned and services by the Royal Mail hotel which may explain the cleanliness. Also lovely touches like the compostable coffee pods and organic tea.

Liam, Janette & Jen were brilliant, couldn't have asked for a friendlier bunch of staff/owners. They were currently in a handover to become the owners and hearing their plans and vision for the place, once they're in full swing it sounds like it'll be a must-stop place on the way to Swan Hill and Lake Tyrrell.

Location location location... if you are one of those, just sleep and head off for the sunrise, then this is the perfect place. I arrived pretty late 10pm and I was supposed to check in by 1800 hour, with a simple phone call all I need and also an easy check out. Thank you Don. Big thumbs up... will be there again in a few months.

We loved everything about the cabin, it was so nice and comfy yet so closed to the nature. When we wake up, we do see kangaroos, wallabies and even an Emu just outside the window of our cabin, it was a really amazing experience. The place was kept very clean and tidy, the cabin has all the necessary amenities, it looks exactly like in the picture. It was a very nice getaway in the Grampian and we would definitely come back to try put indoor massage service they offered.

Cabin was clean, confortable and lovely and cool. The best thing though by some way was the incredible location. Kangaroos hopping past everywhere you looked, emus, deer, parakeets, parrots, all with the grampians as the back drop. Very peaceful, no traffic, we actually cut our walk short so we could sit on the porch with some wine to watch the wildlife and enjoy the scenery.

Great, plenty of space between the units, but was quiet and peaceful anyway. Lots of Kangaroos everywhere through the site. Plenty of bird life around including emus in the morning. Kids would love this site. 10-15 minute walk to the small village. Convenient for walking in the Grampians

We had everything we needed after a long day on the road: a comfy bed, a powerful hot shower, a silently working AC and additionally a fully equipped kitchen which we used for cooking. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Visiting kangaroos and cockatoos a nice add on.

The chalet was spotless. The massage chair was a great added extra and the bed was very comfortable. The wildlife wandering through the property was brilliant, ducks with their ducklings, kangaroos and even a deer. We will come back.

Location is amazing. 15/20 min walk from town (only 3 by car), but in the middle of all the mountains and every night there are so many kangaroos and emu’s. Even saw 2 deer! Clean cabin and very cozy.

    Halls Gap is beautiful.

Halls Gap is beautiful. We visited the new Gallery at WAMA and its botanical garden area, which we will definitely do again. There are some nice eateries. Flame Brothers was excellent, and the local wine shop stocks a great range of regional wines. The Pomonal Wildflower Show was a highlight, with lunch at Barneys. Surrounded by natural beauty it is a must visit.

Ararat is a lovely town in itself and has everything you need, town hall, art gallery, many shops, antiques, eating places, gift shops, swimming pool, indoor and out, recreation, park, drives up to Halls Gap and tourist attractions areas. A few pubs at Nhill, however the recommended place was shut for Sunday dinner unfortunately. Owner was helpful however and suggested a couple of alternatives (the only alternatives in Nhill!!!) Not much there but a friendly town halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. Think there was a bakery but that was closed. The IGA was open thank goodness.

It is a fascinating town, old goldfields, amazing 19thC architecture, good caravan park. For us it's been a transit overnight being halfway between Adelaide Hills Home and Falls Creek, with numerous trips to family winter and summer last 12 or so years. Worth a longer stay but ...circumstances... A shout-out to the Farmers Arms Hotel for good pub food on a Sunday evening!!
