- From US$195.12 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 480 reviewsWe loved it! Karijini Eco Retreat is an amazing place to stay. We booked the luxury tent and it was worth it. It was really hot and to have an AC on your tent it’s life changing. All the common areas were great and the staff was really thoughtful - our experience at the Eco Retreat wouldn’t be so good if it wasn’t for Shell and Clodagh, who were nothing but nice and so kind to us, and provided us a lot of advices regarding places to visit and the wild life. About the heat: it’s not great when the temperatures hit 45 degrees, but if you get up early (4:30/5:00) you can enjoy the hole morning (until 1pm) and you have the gorges all to yourself. It’s very peaceful and quiet.Guest review byJonnyStarPortugal

We really felt like home! The bed was very comfortable and big. The kitchen was fully equipped. The fridge was not very big but there was a freezer separtly. We had a bbq and even a washing machine! The resort has a big pool and a restaurant, however we didn't try the food there.Guest review byAlexandraSwitzerland
- From US$253.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 496 reviewsIncredible family destination! Best accom in Broome. Right on cable beach and everything you need for a stress free stay. The resort restaurants were very expensive but the food was excellent so we didn’t mind - definitely book in advance though as there doesn’t seem to be enough sittings in peak times.Guest review byKateAustralia

Pick your time to visit carefully.
Pick your time to visit carefully. In wet season many things are closed or do not operate. If you hire a car a 4 WD Is advised due to some places of interest are on unsealed roads with corrugations.Guest review byTerenceAustralia - 6.0

We visited Exmouth because of its proximity to Ningaloo reef. We planned to spend several days snorkelling. However the coral was quite dead and algae covered so we were disappointed by that. However we did enjoy the great variety of colourful fish and saw turtles, sharks and stingrays. We also enjoyed a sunset whale watching cruise where we saw many hump back whales.Guest review byMichelleAustralia - 10.0
Relaxed and Friendly Town
Relaxed and Friendly Town Karratha is a great place to visit. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The town has everything you need, with shops, cafes and services close by. It’s clean, easy to get around and has a relaxed pace. The surrounding landscapes are unique and worth exploring. Good value overall for a regional stay. Tips for New Visitors: Book accommodation early, especially during peak work seasons. Bring sun protection. The weather is hot and dry most of the year. Hire a car if you want to explore nearby spots like Dampier or Karijini. Visit local cafes early. Some close by mid-afternoon. Check opening hours for shops and services. They can vary. Talk to locals. They often have the best advice on where to go.Guest review byDexterH71Australia - 10.0

An excellent place to take short trips from, for example Emma gorge or Wyndham. The town is small but there are some very nice eating spots. Great for fishing, with Barramundi being the fish to catch. I would highly recommend hiring a 4wd then you can get around the town and also explore some great places that are out of town but accessible only by 4WD. But don't panic nearly all the tour operators will pick you up from the place you are staying if you choose not to hire a car. Check the temperature because it can be very hot.Guest review bySteve RodgersAustralia - 8.0
For a first time visitor, Port Hedland was interesting.
For a first time visitor, Port Hedland was interesting. There is nothing much to do (other than walk around the jetty area). The sunset was beautiful, the long walk ways on the beach front was a great way to enjoy the town. Of course you could join tours to go on the water or to the Salt Lake etc.Guest review byAmyAustralia - 10.0
Turquoise Bay was beautiful and clear.
Turquoise Bay was beautiful and clear. I had the unexpected delight of seeing turtles mating at the Jubira Turtle Rookery. Sunrise and sunset were stunning from the Vlaming Head lighthouse. But the greatest sight of all was the big prawn across from my chalet.Guest review byGemmell - 8.0
Coral Bay is a very beautiful and relaxing place to visit.
Coral Bay is a very beautiful and relaxing place to visit. The Ningaloo Reef is a highlight and a trip on the glass bottom boat is a must. The eating facilities are quite adequate , we enjoyed Bill's and the Reef Bar. The seafood pizza at the Reef Bar was delicious and the best we had ever tasted. The shop assistants and coach driver ( from the airport) were exceptionally helpful and cheerful. It was a pity the beauty spa was only open 2 days a week , February may not be their high season.Guest review byJudy - 4.0

The staff were unfriendly they just don’t have any people skills. The bathroom had a constant cigarette smoke smell, The rail fell of the wall to hang stuff on. The sliding door didn’t lock so they just put a hook latch on it.Guest review byKarlAustralia - 4.0

Unfortunately Halls Creek is suffering from lack of inspiration! Information Centre not open so no information of the area, it is run down and needs a good lot of help from the WA govt to encourage tourism ... There is a lot to see and the history is amazing. Roads are very poor to the sights people wish to see and explore. Indigenous population friendly and I'm sure with a little encouragement & support many would be able to find employment without the constant "put down" there seems to be!Guest review byJanAustralia - 8.0

We were in Broome at the end of the dry season, start of the wet season. Sometimes called the build up. It is hot for someone coming straight from a cooler climate. The atmosphere of the town is relaxed and welcoming. I think it would be a great escape from the colder states during their winter.Guest review byJohnAustralia
