Victor Harbor is a nice clean precinct.....good bakery.....variety of shops......Woolworths/Drakes/Aldi.....Information Office (staff very helpful)......Good to have a paper map to find your way around.......various tours to take.......Victor Harbor is a good place to use as a base camp to tour out from. Horse drawn tram, Cockle Train trip to Goolwa, Coorong cruise from Goolwa, road trips to Cape Jervis south to McLaren Vale north......roads good (a bit windy in areas).....be prepared for very windy weather.Guest review byHowardAustralia - 10.0

Encounter Bay is beautiful, quiet and peaceful for a nice relaxing weekend away. Watching the sunrise over encounter bay from the studio apartment was amazing. Local deli always providing great coffee and snacks and the cafe on the lake providing an amazing big breakfast!Guest review byTamikaAustralia - 6.0
The large back yard is good for dogs and children.
The large back yard is good for dogs and children. Comfortable outdoor setting. Not suitable for more than 2 adult couples to stay, due to bed configuration. Cleanliness is not up to standard, leaking kitchen drain that leaks water under the sink, oven not cleaned, windows very dirty, floors not swept throughout on arrival. I would not stay here again. We chose this property based on the pet policy, but if you dont require this I would give it a miss.Guest review byRebeccaAustralia - 10.0
There's so much to do.
There's so much to do. Dress for all occasions and visit the lolly shop! I enjoyed going out and staying in. Bring extra cash for the carnival rides and games. Walk across to granite island and drive up to the bluff. Still have yet to do the cockle train. Great playground and restaurants and holiday parks. The beach and collecting shells is beautiful and fun.Guest review byAnitaAustralia - 10.0

We filled the house with our family of 6 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room to accommodate us all. Could get our 3 cars off the street with a bit of careful parking. House is stocked with everything we needed for meal preparation and entertaining. Found ground floor bedrooms hear all movement upstairs which is annoying when you pay a premium.Guest review byMr & Mrs GAustralia - 8.0
No transport needs a car.
No transport needs a car. Winter main st shopping closes early. Lovely to browse through and a mall too. Granite Island is the SHOWPIECE. Horse drawn vintage carriage by Clydesdale's, tourists love it. Op shops fun for elderly folk and grandkids. A quiet in Winter destination. Lovely caravan parks . Books shops to browse new and olde , also found in nearby coastal towns. Bike riding to the Bluff outdoors adventures , surfing nearby. FUN TOWN /laidback too .Guest review byJEFFREYAustralia - 8.0
A quiet and peaceful location.
A quiet and peaceful location. Can recommend Wood coffee roasters in Victor Harbor for coffee and breakfast, they had friendly staff as well. For a delicious A La Carte restaurant try Whalers Restaurant in Encounter Bay, you won't regret it. Eye Fillet to die for.Guest review byLyndaAustralia
