United KingdomBreakfast was served exceptionally fresh every morning and prepared with a lot of care in order to satisfy the guests staying there, plenty of choice and the tables were set up professionally everytime to start the day feeling well looked after! The owner was extremely kind and generous and it made our stay even more comfortable as it had a warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere everytime she was around. She went above and beyond for us and we are very grateful and appreciative of her hard efforts aswell as the friendly hard working staff who also help to maintain and make Edelweiss the special and unique inn it is for everybody staying or visiting there! We want to thank you all for everything and we will definitely be staying again in the future aswell recommending friends/family 😊!

IrelandThis is a beautiful house and full of amazing artefacts, memorabilia and beautiful pottery which was made by the host Kevin. The house is spotless, tastefully decorated and has all amenities required for an enjoyable stay and is only a short walk to the center of town. Kevin and Lesley make you feel right at home and almost part of the family and go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. They provide a delicious breakfast, all homemade and even share their family recipes with you. Breakfast time is very enjoyable and not rushed as Kevin and Lesley take time to engage with all the guests and the conversation flows. Kevin is very knowledgeable of the history of the surrounding area and with recommendations for thing to do all over Nova Scotia. I would highly recommend a stay at the Lark and Loon.

We enjoyed a lovely mini-apartment within the immaculate and impressive house. From the bedding to our own TV/reading room and spotless bathroom, the services were outstanding. Our host was so helpful and such a pleasant and welcoming person. We'll be back!

Beautiful, small, crowded university town on the very edge...
Beautiful, small, crowded university town on the very edge of farming country. There is an Apple u-pick right in the town and several farmer’s markets. There are expensive restaurants, a couple of grocery stores, some nice small town stores like a consignment shop, for clothes,along with some basic small town stores and some cultural venues associated with the university.

We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location...
We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location and New Minas was perfect. Wolfville is just down the road & there were several places to visit there (Grand Pre, Tangled Gardens) but found it too crowded and busy. The second day was spent visiting small towns (Kentville, Port Williams, Centreville, Canning) in the country side (cheese stores, craft breweries, antique shops as well as the Bay of Fundy. Drove to Hall's Harbour for supper (lobster roll) and were home before dark. It's easy to get around New Minas and area and this motel is on the main strip where all the usual restaurants are and Tim Horton's is just across the street.

We were just passing through and found a reasonably priced...
We were just passing through and found a reasonably priced motel (Orchard Queen Motel and RV Park). We ate at the Capitol pub which was fine..my wife loved the chowder. The next day we decided to stay in the general area and came back to the same motel for a second night. Middleton seemed like an interesting town but we didn’t look around

Canning is a small town and is perfect to get away from the...
Canning is a small town and is perfect to get away from the crowded streets of Wolfville which is a short drive away. We ate at Dickie-Baxter Taproom and were impressed with the quality of the meal. I want to return to try Cider House Fish and Chips and the Artistic restaurant next door. If it was summer, we would have walked to the ice cream shop down the street. It's like a walk back in time . . With really good food

A great place to stay for a wedding at The Tangled Garden...
A great place to stay for a wedding at The Tangled Garden and a subsequent visit post wedding in the sunshine!
Very close to Wolfville for local shopping and bars and restaurants.
Just to say we must say a huge thank you to Don at the Beach Breeze Motel. Not only was he an excellent host, he helped us out with Lateral flow tests on Monday, when the wedding party tested positive for Covid. They are available from the public library but it’s closed on Mondays.

We liked the restaurants and pubs, wineries, local markets, taking in all the beautiful scenery and local tourist attractions. The food we had at Troy and the Library Pub was awesome. Loved all the seafood and varieties, as well as the different ways of preparation.
We felt that the Stella Rose should be rated 4 out of 5 rather than 3 out of 5. The breakfasts were wonderful and very enjoyable.

We needed a place to stay the night when visiting my 91 year...
We needed a place to stay the night when visiting my 91 year old Uncle. Even thou we only came from Truro the drive is just to long for my mother and myself. This is a trip that my mother and I have been making for the past few years once a year in the fall. The last two years we have stayed at this same Motel, it's clean, friendly staff and close.

The Farmer's market was fabulous with the music, the town crier, lovely variety of shops, and the beautiful location of the town. The museum of a few homes was very interesting to see as well as the fort and the gardens. Lots of small shops were welcoming. The benches along the shore to watch the sunset was popular. The town was clean and very attractive.
