- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 850 reviewsThe location was technically at one end of town but town is only a couple of kilometres long so this was not an issue. It was right opposite the train station and close to lots of food and shops. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and there was a spa on the roof with amazing mountain views. Pub downstairs was really lively and they offer a late night menu which was super handy as I’d gotten in quite late.Guest review byAbbieAustralia

The suite had two bedrooms, two bath rooms and a balcony. There was a lounge area in the room with a couch and two armchairs. The people at the front desk have been very kind and helpful.Guest review byChristianGermany

We ate at Fiddle River- the food was excellent and the service was superb. We also had an icecream at Scoops- the range of flavors was tremendous. We went shopping and my friend found a bathing suit for $40 that is unheard of. The hot tub at the Lobstick was fantastic 👌 The kitchenette was great at the Lobstick.Guest review byLeighCanada - 10.0
Friendly and interesting shops a restaurants.
Friendly and interesting shops a restaurants. Easy to walk around. Rock Mountaineer offices have moved from station to other side of road and further up. Good local museum on outskirts of town; plenty of artifacts.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We had a beautiful stay.
We had a beautiful stay. A must do is the walk on the glacier - amazing! Lake Malaigne is a definite must do. See if you can catch a hiking trail - we did the Bald Hills Trail, though it did test our resilience! Lake Talbot is an ideal place to take a memorable photograph - lake, mountain, trees and if lucky the fresh snow on the mountains.Guest review byShyamIndia
