This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. I knew it was nice when I booked it, but it was even better than I thought. The whole experience of walking around the monastery, checking out the museum, the comfort and cleanliness of the room and bed (the bed is a 100/10), the breakfast, and the friendly staff, made my stay memorable.     We were just passing through off the ferry and expected a Travelodge, having not used a Riotel before, but were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the welcome, at a very good price. We were able to enjoy the sunset by a firepit on the beach with a good beer, and use the pool. In the morning we had a very good home cooked breakfast. The room itself was comfortable with good facilities. The staff were all friendly and accommodating.

The place is beautiful with a lot of activities, a good restaurant and a bar. The room was very clean, with a large bathroom and jacuzzi. Great for 4. The beds were comfy in king size and good pillows.

    We did a lot in the short time we were there.

    We did a lot in the short time we were there. Catching a ship for a cruise to Boston and spent a few days beforehand seeing the sights of Montreal. The only place I did not enjoy was the trip to Montmorency Falls as in September water flow was not so great so very underwhelming. I'm sure when water was flowing the falls would have been amazing.

    We loved that the city was so beautiful, with sites, tours , restaurants and strolling all within walking distance. The hop-on, hop-off bus was great to get familiar with the city. Le Continental, Chez Boulay and Chez Temporel were excellent . The best place for momentos was the Quebec Artisan shop, I found a beautiful necklace and earrings. I also found two shops with Quebec made clothing in the lower city.

    Our trip to the Mount-Tremblant Treetop Observatory and Walk was MOST enjoyable. And our ride up the gondola to the top of the Mt Tremblant ski area offered wonderful views of the area. Both great for photos of fall colors!!

    Hotel was brilliant!

    Hotel was brilliant! Reception staff were amazingly helpful, the room was bright and clean and had everything we needed. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb and we opted for the buffet breakfast in the morning, which was good. The free shuttle to the airport was also really useful. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try out the pool. There is a VIA train station right by the hotel.

    I love Gatineau, it was my childhood home.

    I love Gatineau, it was my childhood home. It is very beautiful, however, with all the construction, long weekend traffic & Ironman rally detours unbeknownst to us tourists, plus a couple fender benders, traffic was horrific for getting around.

    Lots of cute coffee places and restaurants within easy walking distance, altho there are some hills. Whale watch with AML was fun. Whale museum was informative. Light hikes/ walks along the shoreline. If you take the bus, note there are no taxis in town to go to the hillside bus stop. You can walk, but it might be too strenuous for some. There may be others but I am only sure that a shuttle is offered to guests of the historic Hotel Tadoussac. Really enjoyed coffee on the sunny porch of Abri Côtier, very close to Hotel Tadoussac. Food was good at Chez Mathilde and there was music the night I went. Cafe Bohème had a good mussel/frites dish. Located next door to the only supermarket I found. Cooler in Tadoussac than in Quebec City.

Unfortunately and fortunately, we expereinced the first snow of the year and so could not go on foot to enjoy the history of the buildings in the downtown area, but then the snow added the beauty to the city.

    It's a good overnight halt while driving to Halifax from Toronto/Montreal. People planning a trip to Gaspe peninsula could begin/terminate their trip here. Ferry to North shore of St. Lawrence River will be a good experience.

    La Malbaie is a fascinating destination with accessibility to artists’ villages, fromageries, fabulous bakeries and superb terroir cuisine. Stunning views over the Saint Lawrence, wonderful walking trails at all levels. The artist village of Baie St. Paul is a must!

    Interesting place with lots of historic areas to see.

    Interesting place with lots of historic areas to see. Very much liked the river walk and cyvle paths. My brother lives there, which is the primary reason for the visit. May not have chosen the location in other circumstances.
