FAQs about hotels in Quebec
From Polar Bears to Jazz Festivals
The predominantly French-speaking part of Canada, Quebec is a fascinating region of strong contrasts. With stunning natural wildlife and European-style cities, Quebec features over 8000 lakes, 750,000 square kilometres of forests and 4 different climatic zones.
Its largest city, Montreal, is said to be the only place in the world where the sun rises in the south, due to the unconventional compass used by the locals. Its old town, Old Montreal, with its cobblestoned streets and historic buildings, is a real jewel and a definite must-see.
Head to the region’s capital, Quebec City, to admire the majestic Chateau Frontenac. Stroll along the fortification walls around romantic Old Quebec or try one of the over 300 cheeses produced in the region.
After an intense city break, there is nothing more relaxing than the vast spaces of nature, untouched by the human hand and allowing one to spot a polar bear, a moose or even a blue whale.
So whether you’re a nature lover keen on summer and winter sports, or a culture vulture hungry for music festivals and independent cinema, you will find all that and more in Quebec. Booking.com offers over 1200 properties so you can choose between hotels, motels and cosy inns.

I had a fabulous stay in Montreal!
I had a fabulous stay in Montreal! Coming from Toronto, I immediately noticed the atmosphere difference. Montreal is so calm! I'm used to the chaos of Toronto and felt at peace here. The people are friendly, I love the trees along most streets, the fresh air, clean streets and parks, how walkable the city is and all the different activities it offers. I took this trip as a treat for myself to focus on wellness, and it didn't disappoint. I'm even thinking about relocating to Montreal and can confidently say it's my new favorite city.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Quebec City is a quaint and charming city.
Quebec City is a quaint and charming city. Overall, our visit was enjoyable. We were lucky enough to have a 2 full day of great weather and was able to see everything we wanted. The people were very nice and willing to help.Everyone were able to communicate well other than French.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0

The village was absolutely beautiful. The weather was great. However, the hotel staff upon arrival were unfriendly. They did not provide information as to opening hours of the pool gym.And when you ask them questions, it seemed that you were bothering them.Same with the lifeguard at the pool, I walked in with my coffee one morning, and he really yelled at me actually told me that because it's glass, I need to get out right now. He actually got in my face in a threatening manner, I was never scolded before by a lifeguard. In addition, the pool was full of bugs.I had my daughter get out of the pool because they were not cleaning it sufficiently with a net to remove the bugs. I reserved the two bedroom suite, extremely high priced.I would have expected a little more service and care. The bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable and the view was nice. But that's the extent of my positive experience at that hotel. The rest unfortunately was subpar for r what I was expecting. I've stayed in 2 other hotels in the same village. And the experience was far less in this particular hotel.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Hotel was brilliant!
Hotel was brilliant! Reception staff were amazingly helpful, the room was bright and clean and had everything we needed. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb and we opted for the buffet breakfast in the morning, which was good. The free shuttle to the airport was also really useful. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try out the pool. There is a VIA train station right by the hotel.Guest review byCathyUnited Kingdom - 6.0
I love Gatineau, it was my childhood home.
I love Gatineau, it was my childhood home. It is very beautiful, however, with all the construction, long weekend traffic & Ironman rally detours unbeknownst to us tourists, plus a couple fender benders, traffic was horrific for getting around.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

The Cape Shrine is a beautiful and tranqualizing pilgreamge place. The Le Temps D'une Pinte is a good place to finish the day with good food, good local beers, and good service. Unfortunately and fortunately, we expereinced the first snow of the year and so could not go on foot to enjoy the history of the buildings in the downtown area, but then the snow added the beauty to the city.Guest review byLOUIS YAN HINHong Kong - 10.0

Lots of cute coffee places and restaurants within easy walking distance, altho there are some hills. Whale watch with AML was fun. Whale museum was informative. Light hikes/ walks along the shoreline. If you take the bus, note there are no taxis in town to go to the hillside bus stop. You can walk, but it might be too strenuous for some. There may be others but I am only sure that a shuttle is offered to guests of the historic Hotel Tadoussac. Really enjoyed coffee on the sunny porch of Abri Côtier, very close to Hotel Tadoussac. Food was good at Chez Mathilde and there was music the night I went. Cafe Bohème had a good mussel/frites dish. Located next door to the only supermarket I found. Cooler in Tadoussac than in Quebec City.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0
