Easy self check-in with simple instructions to follow to park and get to your room. It was quiet, clean and lots of space in the hallway. It felt welcoming from when you first stepped your foot inside the door. Great location on the Main Street.

The host, Sabrina, is very nice and welcoming. The geographic location of the inn is very good, it’s seated close to the beach and not far from the neighboring towns. There is a field behind the inn with places and equipments for bonfire and bbq, and a hiking trail in the woods.

was enchanted by the historic elegance of the building — the beautifully preserved limestone walls, the character-packed architectural details, and the sense of stepping into a refined past. Our one-night stay at Merrill House was unforgettable. This beautifully preserved Victorian mansion is full of charm, character, and thoughtful details. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Jordan, the owner, was incredibly friendly and generous with his time, offering great insights into the County and making us feel right at home. Our room was spotless, cozy, and full of personality. The entire house is a feast for the eyes, carefully curated art, historic touches, and a timeless elegance that’s hard to find. Breakfast was a standout: hearty, delicious, and clearly made with love. Parking was easy, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was both luxurious and inviting. Merrill House is more than just a hotel, it's an experience. We only stayed one night, but it left a lasting impression. Can’t wait to return.

We came for a weekend to take the 1000 island cruise and visit the Boldt Castle. I was disappointed in the lack of fall colors, but were very impressed with the organization of the cruise and was very impressed with touring Boldt Castle. There was a large of number of restaurants in the area to choose from. Would have enjoyed going to the Royal Theater, but nothing playing while we were there.

We visited Sandbank and thought would try staying at Belleville as there were more hotel options. We visited the East Zwick's Centennial Park after we checked out from the hotel the next day and drove around Belleville by the water to Quinte West, very peaceful town but not a whole lots of activities to offer. A lot of the eateries are also closed on Sunday, the town was so quite for the day. Cute own town but not a lot to do.

Great drives along the Trent River/canal system, provincial parks, etc. Lots of scenic spots and history in the area. We were just traveling through on our way home from a road trip but we travel through Napanee often on our way to Ottawa, Montreal or visiting PEC. It's a cute town. There's great coffee at Coffee Cravings and I always visit Starlet - a great little shop. Now we know that the Fox motel is a good little place if we need an overnight or more.
