- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 824 reviewsI have had the pleasure of staying at this spectacular hotel on two occasions: with my husband in May 2023 and as a solo traveller in October 2022 (I just knew I had to go back with him). On both occasions, it was an extraordinary experience and exceeded my expectations (even after knowing what to expect from having experienced it before). This eco-friendly oasis nestled in the heart of Colombia's coffee region is arguably the best in Colombia and is one of my all-time favourites. I am especially fascinated by the hotel's unique concept and commitment to sustainability. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning architecture seamlessly blending with its surroundings. My room was a haven of comfort and elegance. The natural materials used in the furnishings and décor added a touch of luxury while maintaining an authentic connection to the environment. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided breathtaking views of the surroundingS and we enjoyed having our own jacuzzi and private pool in the Grand Master Suite. We took full advantage of this and enjoyed a floating breakfast one morning. We loved exploring the hotel's extensive grounds and bird-watching. BioHabitat Hotel truly embraces its commitment to sustainability. The property features eco-trails, allowing guests to immerse themselves in nature while learning about the flora and fauna. The hotel offers a range of wellness activities including yoga sessions. The hydro facilities at the brand new spa is also a sight to behold. There is also a tennis court on site and equipment provided. The dining experience at Basto RestoBar was a gastronomic delight. The Black Ravioli, Risotto and Deconstructed Chicken Stew were particularly delicious. Overall, my stay was unforgettable. The hotel seamlessly combines luxury, sustainability, and an immersive connection with nature. This hotel is a perfect choice. I can't wait to return.Guest review byRené RoperJamaica
- From US$147.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 488 reviewsWow - what an incredible place! This was not on our essential Colombia itinerary but I recommend you add it to yours - we will moving forward. We honestly ended up here because we had an extra day before we had to be back in Medellin from Salento and I'm so happy we did. It's in the most incredible national park and it is truly an experience. The thermal pools are incredible and I do recommend taking a dip in the thermal river here! Just stunning and so relaxing. I will say it was a bit pricey to get there via cab. I think we paid 300,000 COP from Salento (not bad for two hours, but definitely more than we were used to on a backpacker budget). I just say that to prepare you for it or to give you time to try and figure out another method if budget is important. BUT for the rate of the room, access to the pools and also all the food that was included - the rate we paid to stay here was incredible! Also the food was fantastic! Finally - the journey there is really stunning!Guest review byBobbiUnited States

Very nice friendly city! Like Every city has the good and the bad areas. My favorite sports were Pinares de Sant Martin, los álamos, Cerritos Getting around Pereira is easy Going out of he city to termales Santarrosa de cabal , to Salento el Parker del cafe ( coffee park ) this places are very close to Pereira and go for long walk , and enjoy The nice green view of the mountains !!Guest review byLuz - 10.0
Beautiful small town nested in the Coffee growing region.
Beautiful small town nested in the Coffee growing region. Great location to explore around other towns, and the famous Cocora Valley. I am not sure if Salento or Filandia was used as the inspiration for Encanto (the movie). Calle Real in Salento is full of small arts and crafts stores and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We spent 2 night there and thought it was the right amount of time. We ate dinner at El Patio which had live music, good food and service. Had lunch at Casa Willy’s (jeep) great food and good service too. You can walk around and it is very safe. My only recommendation is try not to drive into Salento at night, very dark, narrow road with tons of sharp curves, this drive at night is only for people experienced in driving in Colombia. Driving there at daylight is not an issue.Guest review byAlexanderUnited States - 10.0
Awesome city. Amazing and friendly people.
Awesome city. Amazing and friendly people. Lots of places to visit and have fun. Many activities, attractions to find out and enjoy. Food is always fresh, clean and great tasting. Safety is a priority. We can walk at any time with no problems and or fear. Public transportation and platform are available and it is cheap. Visit Manizales and experience a great adventure.Guest review byMarthuchaUnited States - 10.0

The nature is nice reception is nice, rooms are extremely smelly to chemicals and mold, very small hardly space to move around no place to leave even small luggage, unhelpful staff, my hole family got sick from the smell they didn’t offer options, we spend the hole day trying to get an alternative finally we had to leave the hotel at midnight with no place to go. As it was impossible to sleep in the smelly room. wasted our time going there is definitely not worth the money and is a health hazard.Guest review byFrancyUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0
Most importantly clean, and felt safe with my family.
Most importantly clean, and felt safe with my family. The hotel was beautiful and affordable. The staff was great, and helpful. The only cons were the air conditioning didn’t work while we were there, which is common, and the menu would have gotten old if our stay was longer, but still delicious. The bar and bar staff were great as well. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re planning a trip to this area.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Filandia is a very nice town, with attractive architecture, good restaurants, and good people. Among the good restaurants, we liked "Casa /bohio Taino" and "Elena Adentro" an amazing place to eat and have good drinks.Guest review byFelipeUnited States - 8.0
This is an area that is absolutely beautiful to explore.
This is an area that is absolutely beautiful to explore. If you are to stay in this location be prepared to bring your own food for making meals. We errored in not thinking ahead and the distance to a grocery store is long with curvy roads. If you have entomophobia this is not the place to be. We saw some marvelous butterflies, and huge roaches and even had an Aguti in the backyard. Our family enjoyed the warm weather, swam in the pool, and had a very enjoyable vacation. Within an hour's ride, there is an amusement park, zoo, and next door an interactive ranch with shows, and animals to interact with.Guest review byLanaUnited States - 10.0

Victor meet us upon arrival with a beautiful smile and made us feel very welcome. The home is absolutely beautiful, private, well maintained. The pool was clean, as well as all the outside amenities. We really enjoyed a night time swim and even placed some water basketball. Victor's aunt lives on property and was a very pleasant lady and treated us very well. You can tell that Victor wants only the best for his guests. Take note that La Dorada is has a very hot climate and only the master bedroom is air conditioned. But has excellent fans through out the entire house. Which was fine for us being from Florida USA. We saw a lot of the town and believe that staying here is the best of all options. We know you will agree should you decide to make this your home while in this city.Guest review byMARTINUnited States - 2.0
The town is not ready to take any type of tourists.
The town is not ready to take any type of tourists. No decent restaurants, no heath facility, many places don’t take US dollars neither credit cards. No bank facilities during the weekends. No tourist attractions, dirt on the street many unpaved roads. Lack of sidewalks, no rental car services.Guest review byGustavo
