- From US$353.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 364 reviewsPLEASE READ. after reading the comments we had lots of doubts of booking here, but thankfully we booked. in the soroundings there is no better hotel than this, we were noisy and checked at least 6 other hotels around the beach area. this is the only one with a huge pool and rooms just in front of the sea. you can see that the hotel is new and they are working a lot on improvements, and they care about what you think and need and try to solve it. what was most important for us about this hotel was the deep state of relaxation we managed to achieve here, everyone is in the same mood of relaxing you don’t have noisy neighbours in the hotel or party people, is a hotel for PURE relaxation, so much that we cancelled all our exploring trips around and just stay there enjoying the pool and the ocean lol. regarding the food prices, they go between 8-12 euros which we didn’t find extra expensive, but we also went to the towns close by and got some salad ingredients for when we wanted to cook something for us. mosquitos, there are, but is not only here is in the whole area so if this is a deal breaker for you don’t come to the tayrona park. In general we can asure there is no better hotel close to this one, with the quality and style it offers without looking cheapGuest review byEfrainPortugal
- From US$124.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 770 reviewsI felt immediately relaxed when arriving at the hotel. the staff and everyone is super nice. Especially Katy from Girona Travels who I met there at the hotel is a gem!!! she organized transport for me (super reliable drivers!), a tubing tour (highly recommended…it’s not just Tubing…our guide explained us A LOT about local wildlife as well. super interesting!!) and was always available and answered or called back super quick. Even when I got stuck due to protests and road blocks, Katy did everything in her power to arrange my safe transfer with a moto to my destination!! stay at this super hotel and let Katy and Girona Travel make your stay even more comfortable!!Guest review byManfredGermany
- From US$196.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 215 reviewsTheir restaurant served amazing food with quite a large menu. I enjoyed the sea bass filet, posta negra and seafood rice very much. Breakfast had multiple options. The service was nice and the hotel was quiet enough you felt like you were at a private resort or vacation home. The owners Sergio and his wife were very welcoming and made time to talk to say hello and check in with their guests daily. The location, pool and ammenities were perfect. The "help yourself" bar was a nice homey touch. Our beds were made nicely daily. Nice ocean side furniture and shade. Also, no sand flies when we went end of February!Guest review byBrookeCanada
- From US$102.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,615 reviewsThe facilities are superb. I booked one night and decided to stay another for the party because I met such nice people here. Magda was so helpful with booking my second night and making sure I have the discount for my second night when rebooking. The food was delicious and I loved the breakfast. Slack lining a small gym and so much dancing has made this a very active stay. Rafikee was also so helpful at the desk. I'd definitely come back. Also the sunset is so beautiful over the sierra Nevada mountain range, it's not to be missed. I done the sunrise one day too which was also beautiful from the beach.Guest review byCiaraCroatia
- From US$120.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,102 reviews- fantastic breakfast - delicious food and drinks in general, at very fair prices - very accommodating staff making it possible to customize food orders, make arrangements, etc (they even helped me get off a tick) - beautiful surroundings and facilities - lovely views - do anticipate not being able to swim, as the waves are very rough - fun additional activities you can book: I highly recommend yoga with Halie, the cacao tour and SUP with Leandro - amazing massages - warm water in the shower (definitely rare in this region!)Guest review byDariaGermany

The site is beautiful and directly next to the river. So don’t forget you mosquito spray! Very helpful team, we asked them to store our luggage for two days because we stayed in tayrona for two nights and it was no problem at all. They even offered us to use the pool area afterwards.Guest review byJonasGermany

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, pool was very nice with the sierra on the back. room was clean and spacious. Sound of the river was very relaxing. Food is very good and tasty, patacones were our favorites. Service just needs to be from good to great to make this the perfect hotel.Guest review bycamiloUnited States - 10.0

Fantastic hotel tucked away from the busier tourist areas .Very relaxing , car or taxi needed to visit restaurant's away from this area . Swimming in the sea is not possible due to strong waves but the pool at the hotel was lovely . We ate at the hotel most night and food and drinks were good value . Highly recommended for a relaxing escapeGuest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Guachaca was a nice tiny village to stay in with proximity to both Buritaca and Costeño beaches and Tayrona park. It's easy to catch the bus to take you along the main road to these other towns and some hikes. You can swim in the Guachaca river and there is a hike up to a waterfall on the river as well, Cascada Saltillo.Guest review byJessicaUnited States - 10.0

In general, the online description of the trail is not accurate. You are crossing a mountain range.... steep ups and downs followed by a steep down to the resort. Trails are not to U.S./Canada standards especially when one adds in the fact that horse/burrow traffic is a necessity for supplies. Hope for no precipitation.Guest review byrichardCanada - 10.0

I loved being able to hike on an uncrowded beach as well as on the nearby trails in the woods … overall it was a wonderful place to take a break . Magdalena beach house provided a nice little breakfast and nearby juanchos was one of the few places to go to for lunch or dinner. They were extremely accident and tried to prepare and cook my food in a low cholesterol fashion.Guest review byFrancineUnited States - 10.0

For those wanting to hike the Tayrona trail, this resort is close by the entrance of the park, and it is a blessing to have this place nearby after hours of walking in the heat. I had a deep tissue massage after my walk and it was divine. My room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast here is delicious and very generous. Highly recommend.Guest review byCyril SCanada - 8.0

Beaches are not as packed as they commonly are in Santa Marta during high seasons. Nice place to relax while being surrounded by beautiful nature. Of course, not everything is perfect, but you wouldn't expect that while visiting Latin America. As it is outside the city, it can be a bit hard to find good restaurants, so you might want to find a hostel with its own restaurant or book one with a kitchen to cook your meals.Guest review byKevinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Really nice jungle park. Definitely recommend.
Really nice jungle park. Definitely recommend. I liked that there is a bus from the entrance of the park to the trailhead (2 miles - it's 5,000 cop). There are also guys who sell popsicles on the trail to Cabo San Juan and they are delicious. Great views along the way, the hike is really cool but it is a bit of a trek. There are lots of bugs because it is the jungle, so bug spray was essential. But, all in all it's pretty worth it. I also really liked visiting the other side of the park - Playa Cristal was beautiful, but there were no buses. Needed to hire a mototaxi to get there. I hope that will be different in the future! I heard there are buses that go there. Can't wait to go backGuest review byErikaUnited States - 10.0
The best hostal in Tayrona!!!
The best hostal in Tayrona!!! Great small cozy and confortable hostal in the middle of the nature with great views. The room was spacious with a great bed and a private bathroom, great view to the mountains and quiet in the night. I will definitely be back soon. Delicious coffee and pancakes for breakfast. Its 8 minutes walking from the road and 15 minutes walking to the beach los cocos.Guest review byJulianaColombia
