This property is perfect for a quick getaway and peace of mind! This is what we needed and it was more than enough. The staff were AMAZING! Soft spoken, kind and with a warm smile on their face. The room was as seen in the pictures, the bed was comfy and the view lovely. The slippers and the complimentary wines were a nice touch. The have a in house restaurant that operates in the evening hours and that was a big advantage for us as we just wanted to relax and not leave the hotel.

Lovely set up of a hotel in this beautiful and picturesque village of Cyprus. Incredible views, great atmosphere surrounded by nature. What a lovely, relaxing stay I had at Christys'. The hotel is a very traditional mountain retreat—clean, with a beautiful terrace, spacious common areas, and a great view. Andreas, the manager, is a very kind and generous man. He came to pick me up when I arrived by bus and helped me with some issues I had. He’s always ready with a smile and happy to answer any questions. Truly a great host. I stayed only two days but wished I could have stayed much longer. This is one of those warm, welcoming places that make you feel at home right away.

    The room was compact, but it had everything we needed. We really appreciated the small cooking area, which was well-equipped with all the appliances necessary to prepare our vegan meals. The large fridge was especially useful. We also loved the pool and the terrace table, which allowed us to enjoy our meals outdoors.

    I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer...

    I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer month of may but unfortunately the place looked deserted. Very few restaurants were open to have lunch and dinner, and sometimes the quality was very avarage. I would not recomment visiting Platres in July, perhaps August will be much better when local people take their holidays.

    Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of tranquility. Its picturesque setting, with stone houses, cobblestone streets, and lush landscapes, creates an idyllic atmosphere for visitors. The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Additionally, the calming sound of the river that flows through the area, like the one you can hear in the backyard of Maritsa Lodge, offers a unique sense of inner peace, almost like the natural white noise of the outdoors. In the village center, the traditional architecture remains intact, with taverns like Podji Poda serving excellent local cuisine, and small cafés welcoming you for a relaxing drink and dessert in the main square.     The spa and treatments were special.

    The spa and treatments were special. The location was unique. Views are amazing! Food was fresh and tasty. Buggies were ready available to take you to your car, carry your luggage etc. Complimentary drinks were a nice touch. Cobbled streets and lots of steps can be hard to walk on if elderly or infirmed. Vehicular lift is handy to take you to the main road where there are restaurants and bars, also a kiosk selling many items. Good nature trails.

    We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night. The village is beautiful with a lot of history. In my opinion it’s one of the nicest villages in Cyprus. Full of history too with a small free museum that is extremely interesting. The village is small so you can walk around it in a very short time and it’s so beautiful you really should walk around. For night life, most restaurants and the bakers close around 6.30pm ish. There are a couple of places that open til midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However I really think this is a gem not to be missed.

    Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Agros is very, very clean and the water is super tasty)

    Pedoulas was a wonderful base from which to explore this...

    Pedoulas was a wonderful base from which to explore this area of the Troodos Mountains. It was our first time in the mountains of Cyprus and we wanted to see sites such as Kykkos Monastery, Archangel Michaels church etc. and to do nature trails in the mountains. We achieved these objectives very comfortably from our location and could also move on to the west coast with a scenic (but very winding!) drive back down to sea level:)

    Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do.

    Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do. However, villages such as Pelendri, Agros, Kyperounta are near by and have plenty of things to do. Do visit the taiakkas winery near pelendri for a nice immersive experience. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Symposio Taverna in pelendri.

    Beautiful and well preserved mountain village, people are really friendly and they show love for their place. It is obvious they take good care of it. We had dinner and lunch at two different places and they were both really good. There is also a nice coffee shop with views of the mountains.
