I stayed at a room with a balcony facing to the beach, so I could see wonderful sunset view every evening. The location is excellent, very close to Sahlenburg Beach, to the bus stop, numerous restaurants and a bike rental. I enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna very much. The best part was the breakfast. It was all fresh, super delicious with many options of drinks and foods. At first I thought it was a bit too expensive, but right after the first night of my stay, I could already say that the hotel exceeded my expectation. Superb ambience in the restaurant and breakfast room with great, beautifully cooked food. The staff could not have been more helpful and were a delight to talk to. Cuxhaven is a lovely beach town if one wants to stroll and relax. There are just so many walking and hiking trails along the coast and in wildlife parks throughout the area. the city itself is really pretty with lovely roads, beautiful homes, clean neighborhoods and a very delightful city center. the Kugel bake, Alte Liebe, Dicke Berta, Duhnen Strand, Schloss Ritzebüttel were really pleasant to visit. I recommend it to All, but of course it depends what you want to do or what you are interested. I love hiking/tracking and doing sports. We were here in Winter and I am curious if we could swim in the sea in Summer; I doubt it. But the beach is great, and there are wonderful eateries in the vicinity.
