This place is family-owned and they know how to make their guests happy. Rooms are spacious, suitably equipped, well maintained and clean. Beds are comfortable, the mattress feels just right. Breakfast is a buffet of typical German specialities. Staff is kind and welcoming, and are happy to fulfil reasonable special requests. The restaurant is worth special mention. Tasty, plentiful Bavarian dishes are served for dinner accompanied by good local beer. There are always many locals also visiting, which tells something. Coming on Thursday I couldn't have missed pork knuckle, a Thursday special. And I couldn't resist coming here again just for dinner while on an excursion from Prague to Bavaria! A small town with 3,300 population or so. Located 650 m above sea level. Very quiet and very nice. Located at the lake with nice walking passes so good for hiking.
