We loved the stylish room, delicious breakfast and amazing Spa area. All we wanted is two days away from the city and a little bit of ocean. Britz is a senior citizens paradise but the hotel appeals to all (adult) ages. Everything was very thought through and there was luxury to be had at every corner. Big kudos for the Spa Bags, the friendly staff and diverse breakfast options.

The concierge and his assistant were extremely accommodating and tried their very best to make our stay as comfortable and good as possible. They had some challenges with a delayed check in thanks to them being understaffed but made sure to compensate us and doing all in their power to make our trip as good as possible.

FAQs about hotels in Rügen

The Island Of Many Faces

Germany’s largest island, Rügen, is situated just off the Pomeranian coast and boasts an abundance of bays, peninsulas and headlands. Its long, sandy beaches and the chalk cliffs of the Jasmund National Park add even more beauty to the mix.

Connected to the mainland by the Strelasund Crossing, which combines 2 modern bridge links, the island is over 51 km long and almost 43 km wide. It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany because of its watersports facilities, spas and lively piers.

You can get there not only by car but also by ferry, railway or even a charter flight from Berlin or Hamburg. Once arrived, you can choose between several resorts, the most popular of which are Schaabe, Glowe and Breege.

Rügen offers a really diverse landscape and something for every taste: from more crowded and vibrant seaside resorts to quieter and more contemplative villages. The island is mainly agricultural and fishing is its main focus. Therefore you can enjoy fresh herring or mackerel for your dinner!

With over 280 properties on the island of Rügen, Booking.com offers a wide choice between spa hotels, comfortable apartments and friendly guest houses, so dig in and find a perfect place for your holiday.

The location is perfect. The breakfast is great, huge and delicious. The location is well suited to visit the promenade or the beach. There are a lot of details which will light up your stay.. Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I were sick these days. Thus, we couldn't join the wellness and spa area, but we got a little sneak preview aaaaand didn't really miss something. The staff and the relation between each other was most impressive. It's amazing how they value and help each other. 10/10 points

The town is very beautiful - nature, architecture, the beach. It's just exceptional, so many places to enjoy! Restaurants are very expensive and the food is either mediocre or really bad. If you really like good food, I'd recommend purchasing products in supermarket and cook at home. Little fish shops with smoked fish is the best food this place has to offer in my opinion.

Glowe, Germany is a small town on the Baltic Sea. This is a vacation town. There was a grocery store, small miniature golf course, restaurants and vacation rentals. Not much else going on. That being said—if you want night life, look elsewhere. Perfect place for a weekend stay… awhile week I’d get bored.

Binz is a lovely little seaside town, we love the fischbrotchen and cycling culture. You can get around on foot easily, the beach is well divided and organized, and you can get around by bus or train. Clean public restrooms are everywhere. Sassnitz was a lively, coastal holiday town with beautiful, large villas. There is a small zoo which is very new with not many animals but the silver fox was exceptionally handsome.

A Hidden Gem with Incredible Scenery - Dranske Municipality

A Hidden Gem with Incredible Scenery - Dranske Municipality During our stay in Rügen, we had the pleasure of exploring the charming municipality of Dranske. A small, picturesque community spanning 20.79 km², it is home to a modest population of 1,127 (as of March 2019). Nestled 3.0 meters above sea level, Dranske offers breathtaking views, including the cliffs of the Danish island Møn on clear days. The municipality includes several beautiful areas such as Dranske, Banz, Bug, Dranske-Hof, Goos, Gramtitz, Kreptitz, Kuhle, Lancken, Nonnevitz, and Starvitz, each with its unique charm. Dranske's rich history adds to its appeal. First mentioned in 1314 in a list of prince's taxes collected by a Brunswick knight, Dranske has a history that intertwines with the broader Rügen Island. The district of Nonnevitz was even documented earlier in 1193 when Jaromar I, Prince of Rügen, donated it to the Cistercian Monastery in Bergen. Today, Dranske is a testament to the island's historical richness and natural beauty. It's a fantastic place to unwind, explore, and get a taste of the idyllic Rügen life. I highly recommend a visit! Binz is the most charming place!

Binz is the most charming place! Most guest houses are from turn of the last Century, and full of quirks and beautiful details. The beach is lovely, even out of season, and there’s also an old-fashinoned pier and a lake. Love it all!
