We were affected by a strike and they offered us everything in their power to help us with our rebooking. In addition we are vegan and they went out of their way to provide us with food. When something was up with my laptop so that I couldn't access the internet to work, Herr Schmidt did not rest until the problem was solved. Every staff member we met, at reception, cleaning, and in the restaurant, was lovely and in good spirits. This is a 4 star hotel, but honestly with employees like Herr Schmidt it should be a 5 star hotel. 1 extra star for this wonderful staff!Guest review byMarkNetherlands

If you are looking for a peacful place with no many people...
If you are looking for a peacful place with no many people it is the place for you. It is very small town with one restaurant, one coffee shop. Market is 4 km from the town but there are many cycle paths so there is no problem at all. There are beautifull beaches but there is a problem with dark algae, so if you want to sunbathe you need to cross those algae first. The location is perfectly fine for kids to play in sand and take bath. Plan to take cycles or hire there. Sun rise and sun set can be seen easily although need to travel from one end to other end. Lancken is wonderful to the travelers.
Lancken is wonderful to the travelers. It is surrounded by fascinating possiblitities to walk. The beach is near but not as expected. Onlyy nice to dogs, so to say. However, the hosts tried hard to get along with travelers of all colour. The whole village had only one couple of original people. A Hidden Gem with Incredible Scenery - Dranske Municipality During our stay in Rügen, we had the pleasure of exploring the charming municipality of Dranske. A small, picturesque community spanning 20.79 km², it is home to a modest population of 1,127 (as of March 2019). Nestled 3.0 meters above sea level, Dranske offers breathtaking views, including the cliffs of the Danish island Møn on clear days. The municipality includes several beautiful areas such as Dranske, Banz, Bug, Dranske-Hof, Goos, Gramtitz, Kreptitz, Kuhle, Lancken, Nonnevitz, and Starvitz, each with its unique charm. Dranske's rich history adds to its appeal. First mentioned in 1314 in a list of prince's taxes collected by a Brunswick knight, Dranske has a history that intertwines with the broader Rügen Island. The district of Nonnevitz was even documented earlier in 1193 when Jaromar I, Prince of Rügen, donated it to the Cistercian Monastery in Bergen. Today, Dranske is a testament to the island's historical richness and natural beauty. It's a fantastic place to unwind, explore, and get a taste of the idyllic Rügen life. I highly recommend a visit! Breege is a quiet fishing village, makes a great base to explore the area. I am not sure how full it gets in summer as there are many holiday homes around. I would stay in Breege again. I'd say it's more for families and peoples who don't seek partying. The area is good for a beach holiday, fishing, boating, cycling, hiking and watersports. Breege- Juliusruh is smaller than the other resorts on Rügen and by accounts from others doesnt get overcrowded in the summer months.Guest review byHeikeGermany
