Tallinn might be the city I have visited the most times by choice. It is small enough that a weekend feels sufficient to see a lot of it, while making one want to go back for more. If you like dumplings, you have to try those at Pelmen kohvik. I drop by there every time I go to Tallinn.Guest review byArielleSweden - 8.0

Parnu is a very nice town with a nice beach front area and plenty of restaurants and has a holiday vibe about it. My biggest criticism is that the staff in shops and at the bus station were not always very polite or helpful.Guest review byEmmaGuernsey - 8.0

The best place to stay in as there are many restaurants and cafes and we also caught the opera festival which was a really great added value. Sareemaa can be easily discovered from Kuressaare. The museum in the castle thoroughly describes Sareemaa’s history.Guest review byTündeHungary - 10.0

The Swedish-Estonian Museum is a must-see, especially the mural. It can be difficult to drive, because the streets are curvy, but easy to walk around in. There are wonderful craft stores, often better than in the capital city.Guest review byLindaUnited States - 8.0

Narva-Jõesuu has a very long sandy beach with lots of room for privacy. It is a small and nice and green town to walk around and enjoy life. If you do not want to splurge, would recommend restaurant Lemmik where two people can eat for 20-25 Euros (without drinks). Coop is a large grocery store in the center of town where you cand find everything. There's a very good separate bikeway along the main street through the town and there's also a very nice bikeway along the roab to Narva beside Narva River.Guest review byPriitEstonia - 8.0

Beatiful and calm neighborhood with plenty possibilities to walk around in the nature. Eating possibilities are limited because the nearest neighbours are 6-7 km away. Still there is plenty activity possibilities in Vihula Manor itselt (museums, sports activities, trekking).Guest review byEeroEstonia - 10.0

Kärdla is a nice and well-maintained small town with several supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and a great beach. I can recommend the Rannapaargu restaurant; it is located right on the seafront with a terrace and delicious European cuisine.Guest review byEdvinsLatvia - 10.0

Maardu is a quiet industrial town near Tallinn, just 30min by bus from the city center. It has a lot of supermarkets, is rather clean and well-kept and feels somewhat safe. Might be interesting for fans of Soviet/industrial legacy and brutalism architecture due to town being almost exclusively built in Soviet era with mostly pre-fab apartment complexes. A short walk of ~2 hours is enough to see the most sights of this town and take some great photos.Guest review bychuuootokkaiLatvia - 10.0
A lovely city.
A lovely city. The old medieval center is delightful, but do venture further afield. We ate at Barbarea in a repurposed warehouse in the old Navy yards (very good, and interesting location) and at the Fotografiska restaurant (superb) as well as taking the tram to Kumi, the Art Museum that is not to be missed (with excellent cafe for lunch). Kadriog Park through which we walked to get to Kumi is lovely too, with a Peter the Great Palace to admire as well. Do go to the City Market on the other side of the train station from the old city - amazing fresh produce stalls, older ladies with hand knitted items, antique stalls on the 2nd floor, great food stalls on 1st floor, Back in the old city, don't skip the Esti handicraft stores, and for wonderful linens, yarns and other crafts do stop by Domus Line, and finish with afternoon tea with the locals at Rukis. A tour from a local guide is a good choice on the first day to get oriented and learn the history of this exquisite place. Those medieval streets can be confusing at first!Guest review byClareUnited States
