We've stay here 4 nights and was wonderfull. The staff is very kind, has good restaurant, a buffet breakfast and yummy chocolate ice cream!! Rooms are very comfortable, with Nile view and all the ammenities, it was great to enjoy daily tours and then back to this hotel with swimming pool to chill after sunny adventures. Our favorite tour was the day trip to Dendera and Abidos, our egyptologist Michael was certainly the best we have had in all our trip to Egypt, he explained us with so much passion the meanings of those temples, it wasn't only history this was a master class with a wise man (Zero intention to stop on shops or make us buy anything before asking privately in the car about our interests without insist). We scheduled the tour with the hotel agency, Clara and her boss helps us to choose carefully (we had no extra time to go out and negotiate, but decided to benchmark online and was ok). The last night we asked for massages and it couldn't be better, they have been flexible with spa closure timeline and it was perfect to get ready for early morning ballon's experience before check out. We truly recommend this hotel and their services, honestly I have never dedicated such a long review for a stay, but this experience deserves it!

This is a great place to stay in Luxor. The west side is much more laidback and if you want to go to the other side, it is just a quick and nice boat ride away. The food is excellent, the people super nice, the pool is clean, the rooms are big and impeccable. We stayed 3 nights and will be back when we will visit Luxor again.

Nour el Balad is an absolute gem tucked away from all the crowds. The guesthouse is a traditionally built home with lovely little details and decorations everywhere, and palm furniture including the beds. The breakfast included is delicious, but make sure to stay for lunch or dinner — the roast duck and molokhiya are absolutely outstanding! Luxor’s restaurant scene isn’t amazing and we ended up eating dinner at Nour al Balad every night of our week-long stay. Abdullah and his team offer warm hospitality and can also help with transfers and taxis as needed. We have stayed there twice now and can’t wait to return!!

Firstly I was impressed by the decoration and design of the hotel, it is very authentic and pretty, a very good place to stay in the historical city Luxor. Secondly, the owner Sayed and his staff was so helpful and friendly, the owner is a gentle and humble man, I am biased towards him. Then the food was so nice, we had a dinner extra to the breakfast, so good. 好吃,中国人不骗中国人。 Lastly the location is fabulous, it’s so close to the main sites. We had a very pleasant time there, my family and friends love it so much.

Mahmoud greeted us in the lobby and let us choose our preferred payment method. Our room had an en-suite bathroom and a balcony; it was clean, and the bed linens were spotless. The breakfast was delicious—we think we had the best taamiya here. The terrace was beautifully designed,( shared some photos). Mahmoud was so attentive that we thought he was the owner of the hotel. He was pleasant to talk to, and we had a great conversation about history. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Egypt.

We liked everything. Very nice and roomy apartment and well furnished. Met the host. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful man. (He is also a guide and speaks English and German.) He tries very hard to make sure his guests are well taken care of. Prices were fair. When our stay had ended, our host drove us to the airport. Many local restaurants within easy walking distance. We most definitely would recommend and stay again when we return.

Great historical places like Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshepsut temple. Hot air balloon is a must-try with good price compare with other countries. The pilot is very experience and the hot air balloon is very stable. However, day time weather is comparatively hotter then Cairo and Aswan. Recommend to bring a portable fan around.

I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids.

I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids. The taxi driver at the airport Mohamed, was very friendly and came back to collect us on time. There was a man with a horse carriage that was relentless and a liar for about 10 minutes, non-stop from the hotel to the entrance of the temple. We were the only ones walking the full avenue from Luxor temple to Karnak but it was worth it because it was peaceful and the guards were friendly. We would have liked to stroll at night time on the promenade but as soon as you were stepping outside the hotel, you were targeted by scammers. The hotel had good facilities, good food and a good swimming pool but it would have been good to enjoy a bit more freedom like in any other tourist destination.

Luxor sites are great must see for travelers who loves ancient Egyptian sites. Many beautiful experiences. But unless you've got the a full time tour/handler, be prepared for the endless stream of people looking to siphon some of your pocket and time. We're 'do it yourself' kind of travelers and did so without serious issue; It takes street smarts and awareness. People generally are kind and warm and Luxor has a lot to offer. A driver/guide is essential for the West Bank sites though, many things to navigate and difficult without someone versed in the area and processes.
