From the moment we arrived at Tanoak, I knew this holiday was going to be special. The resort itself is beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The architecture exudes a calm elegance, with spacious, airy rooms offering stunning views of the pool and gardens. Our family room was a serene sanctuary, with double rooms to offer privacy and ensure my daughter had her own space. The minimalistic decor coupled with large windows let in the natural light and provided a picturesque view of the surrounding landscape. Every detail, from the soothing color palette to the warm, clean linen was designed to enhance comfort and relaxation. The resort offered a perfect mix of activities, allowing me to choose how active or laid-back I wanted to be. We also took advantage of the wellness center, indulging in a luxurious spa treatment that left us feeling utterly rejuvenated. The massages, facials, and body scrubs were expertly delivered, making the entire experience feel like a retreat for both mind and body. For those moments when we simply wanted to do nothing at all, the infinity pool was a perfect spot to relax with a book in hand. Lounging by the pool, with the calm water and the sound of nature around me, created an almost meditative environment. The resort also provided private beach access, where I could walk along the shore, enjoy the sunset, or just sit and listen to the gentle waves. The resort's dining options were another highlight of my stay. With an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, every meal was a treat. We had breakfast each morning, with aromatic cappuccinos, tropical fruit, and a selection of pastries that were simply delicious. Lunches and dinners offered a variety of cuisines, from fresh seafood to comforting local dishes. The level of service at the resort was exceptional, yet discreet. Great hotel, the rooms are very spacious and well-equipped, spectacular location and an amazing view at the sea. Free transport to the cable car which we really appreciated and also free shuttle to their own private beach. Staff go above and beyond to help you all the times. A very good resort with everything what you need (spa for men and women, gym, heated pools, spacious restaurants with good food and amazing personal).     Upon arrival, the access card to the apartment was not yet...

    Upon arrival, the access card to the apartment was not yet ready. However, all the documents required by the owner to obtain it had been sent to him 10 days beforehand, as requested by the owner. I had to wait at least two hours to complete the check-in process and obtain the access card and the apartment key, given the large number of vacationers waiting… Furthermore, to access the beach, you have to take the elevator and the pedestrian bridge, and finally reach the beach, which is located along the main road, with the noise of heavy trucks and cars… Furthermore, it was impossible to get sun loungers, or even simple chairs. On the day of departure, the staff of "Porto Sokhna" came to the door several times, starting at 11:00 a.m., to remind me that departure from the apartment must be done by noon exactly, otherwise late fees would be payable!

    The places at El Galala are very clean and wonderful.

    The places at El Galala are very clean and wonderful. Swimming pools and lagoons are really nice but the road is too dangerous to drive especially at night and there are no enough facilities for the road. The beaches are ok but water (Sea) is always not clean because of the ships throwing their waste in the water which makes it full of oil and not clean to swim in.

    If you're renting in Ain Sokhna, expect to cook your own...

    If you're renting in Ain Sokhna, expect to cook your own meals or order from nearby restaurants — most places don’t offer full board or all-inclusive packages like in Hurghada or Sharm El-Sheikh, usually just B&B or half board at most. While the weather is pleasant, the beach experience falls short: it’s poorly maintained, unsafe for swimming due to sharp rocks and reefs, and lacks the comfort and cleanliness found in other Red Sea destinations.
