Prat is a "normal" area with many regular Spanish residents. It is far enough away from the main attractions to recharge, though close enough to access the hot spots easily. Lots of transportation options available depending on your budget. We stayed 3 nights initially in the Barcelona Beach area and it was nice to relax a bit in Prat before we flew home. Great little town with friendly people. Beach is gorgeous and easily accessible by bus or train. Don't expect everyone to speak English as this is a very spanish town.... this is one of the major selling points to travelling here. What a beautiful place to stay. Dario was a fantastic host, and nothing was too much trouble. I could have slept in the bed for weeks it was so comfy! I had to be a bit mindful with the stairs while wearing socks, but otherwise everything was pristine and very welcoming. The beach is long for walking on lovely sand along the sea on either side .... Water in the sea is though shallow ... have to go further to have enough depth for swimming. The hotel is closer to the international airport, which is why I chose this one for one night. It's the best value for money, with a pool for relaxing, an excellent breakfast with a variety of international items for all tastes, and a very well-kept and clean room with a great mattress. The location is amazing.
The location is amazing. City centre Barcelona is just 40 minutes drive. TimeOut Market is excellent for food and inside the Maramagnum Mall which has just about everything. La Rambla is a good walk with a central food market that has delicious food. Sant Just itself is at walking distance from a number of cafes, eating places and grocery stores. The hotel and breakfast were excellent. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English too. Would not advise taking a car into Barcelona as it is too busy with so much traffic and a nightmare if you can't park. The staff were excellent ,the reason I decided on it as was near to airport by car as Barcelona is a nightmare for uk drivers first time in Barcelona .if I’d got the car I’d asked for as my partner would also have been able to drive , but she would not drive that car we asked for small car that’s what we ended up with as their computers were down when arrived had to wait for couple hours just to get the car.
