FAQs about hotels in Canary Islands
Eternal Spring in a Spainish Playground
Mention Spain’s Canary Islands and the talk automatically centres on the weather. The eternal spring climate makes booking your vacation easy. The year-round sun, endless beaches and remarkable volcanic landscapes are spread across 7 main islands and 13 in total.
Tenerife is the biggest island in the group, which also includes Spain’s tallest mountain at 3,718 metres, the volcanic Pico del Teide. This island also has the most number of hotels and resorts scattered along its 350 km of coastline. Booking.com can help you make the choice easier.
La Palma, nicknamed Pretty Island, is a good example of the dense forests and fertile valleys competing with desolate volcanic landscapes and a lack of natural water resources. Gran Canaria is the most diverse of all the Canary Islands and houses the largest population.
Agriculture, a traditional Canario pastime, has reemerged as an important economic pillar for the islands alongside the modern advancement of tourism. Snorkelling, windsurfing, endurance sports and golf draw sport enthusiasts while tempting wines and cheeses entice the gastronomes.
Tenerife has 2 airports both north and south, and Gran Canaria Airport is the other major entry point for international visitors. Whatever way you get there, it is clear that a trip to the Canaries is a trip to paradise.

An incredible place to visit with a huge selection of food, shopping, and recreation options. Perfect for families. There are playgrounds and the beach is calm enough for the little children to play but also places to surf if you wanted.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 8.0

A great place as a base for a Tenerife tour if you want to stay in one place. If your visit extends for more than 4 days it might be more interesting to move closer to your sightseeing points (example: 3 nights in Santa Cruz, 3 in Puerto de la Cruz, 3 in Playa del Duque - that's what I would have done if I knew how much time I'd spend driving).Guest review byMiguelPortugal - 10.0
The area is perfect for all ages
The area is perfect for all ages It is desired by adults for the wonderful view it offers. The long walks with the different terraces that invite you are a dream. The important thing is that the beach is public everywhere and is not private. Accommodations have very good prices. 4-star hotels are around 120 euros per night. For young people there is nightlife with parties on the seashore. Food is for all tastes. - there are higher prices for quality food as well as lower prices. The menu of the day costs 13 euros.Guest review byGabrielaRomania - 10.0

You must visit la carmencita del puerto restaurant in matagorda, wonderful place, delicious food unlike anything else on the island. The oasis cocktail and tapas bar on the seafront in Matagorda is also delightful. Tasty high quality tapas and amazing cocktails. Just a 5 minute taxi ride from the main strip. La Capri pizza restaurant in puerto del carmen is also lovely. The pasta dishes are varied and authentic and the pizza is excellent.Guest review byAislingIreland - 8.0

Easy access to bars /restaurants/beach. Walking distance to everything you need. Sand dunes were amazing & a must if you want some great pictures. Some great wee local bars so no need to go to the big commercial centres if that's not your thing.Guest review byCarolynSpain - 8.0

Everything is in walking distance, the old town comes alive at night with outside music and lively restaurants and bars with great choice for everyone. Its worth taking a trip out to coco beach 2kms away, a beautiful beach of true beauty and for safe swimming and where sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented along with a small beach bar.Guest review byaidanIreland - 6.0
Santa Cruz de Tenerife doesn’t have much of nightlife,...
Santa Cruz de Tenerife doesn’t have much of nightlife, almost everything was closed at 21:30-22:00 and there were no people outside either we were on the center of the town or near the plaza. BUT, The island in general is worth it. If you can get outside and go see other towns - villages, it is definitely worth it and be prepared for breathtaking sights, views and amazing monuments. There are a lot sightseeings worth visiting, but Santa Cruz de Tenerife on its own is just not worth it that much (and the parking there is literally impossible)Guest review bykostastsoukkGreece - 10.0

We loved to be 10 minutes drive away from the very touristic area of Maspalomas and instead enjoy the view of maspalomas dune from the mountains. We enjoyed the drive to Pico de Nieves. The mountains are wonderful. Canyons and then pine trees. The view from Pico de Nieves and through the journey there is incredible. The dunes deserve a visit as well as puerto de mogan. But the mountains are a paradise.Guest review byNadiaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Playa Blanca is our favourite holiday destination!
Playa Blanca is our favourite holiday destination! We have been going for many years and have seen all the changes over the years! As we are getting older, we like to stay central, near to everything! We always have a hire car ( picked up from the airport when we arrive and dropped off when we return, which we highly recommend doing ) for going further afield !! We go to a variety of restaurants, there are so many good ones you can be spoiled for choice!Guest review byLesleyUnited Kingdom
